We’ll cook thoughtfully\, eat slowly\, and create space for reflection. Expect nourishing food\, unhurried conversation\, and a sense of calm that lingers long after the day ends. \nA beautiful Mother’s Day gift — or a gift to yourself. \nLimited spaces to keep it intimate. \nAbout the day: Sunday 29 March\, 1100 – 1600 \nWe’ll gather in the Vallis Farm dining room for coffee and freshly baked cake before I demonstrate some of the day’s wholesome and delicious lunch menu\, which makes the most of Vallis Farm and local produce. \nAfter a little food chat and Q&A\, there’ll be time for a wander in the Vallis Farm gardens while I put the finishing touches to lunch. \nAfter enjoying lunch together\, you’re invited to rest by the fire or in the garden and take time for some mindful creativity: bring your own knitting\, book\, sketchpad or project\, or join me for a guided session on the forgotten art of letter writing (materials and stamps included!). \nWe’ll end with a chance to share our reflections on a day spent living slowly\, and gently set our intentions for the days ahead. \nSample lunch menu: \nVallis botanical blend sourdough\, freshly made butter\, cultured pickles \nWhipped feta with hazelnut and watercress pesto \nSlow-cooked Persian rhubarb and spring lamb stew\, seasonal veg from the farm (vegetarian: Persian herb and spring vegetable stew) \nHoney poached pear\, bergamot buttermilk sorbet\, lavender shortbread \n£75/person \nVenue: Vallis Farm\, Egford Hill\, Frome BA11 3JQ
