Expect to hear plenty of reggae\, ska\, latin\, hip hop\, dub\, funk\, house and even drum & bass takes on the wonderful music created by John\, Paul\, George & Ringo. \nThe Beatles Dub Club drew huge crowds throughout 2022\, performing to thousands at Boomtown\, Glastonbury\, Shambala\, Green Man\, Bluedot and more\, and ending the year with a personal invite from Fatboy Slim to his ‘All Back To Minehead’ Weekender. \nIn 2023 the show toured the UK and Europe\, including dates in France and Austria and a Bristol sell-out. It appeared at major festivals such as Latitude\, Isle of Wight and Camp Bestival\, and was named by Far Out Magazine as one of Glastonbury’s top 20 alternative acts. \n2024 took the act global with gigs in Australia\, New Zealand\, Bali and France\, plus a 40-date UK festival run. DESCRIPTION:Fresh from supporting Oasis on their monumental return to stadiums this summer\, Cast frontman John Power is coming to Frome for an Intimate Evening With event. \nCast\, The La’s\, and Me – An Intimate Evening With Singer/Songwriter John Power \nCast’s John Power will return to intimate venues with his spoken word tour next spring. He’ll go back on the road with his Cast\, The La’s and Me tour – undoubtedly with some extra stories from this summer\, when Cast supports Oasis in their return to stadium rock. \nJohn had the best rock’n’roll apprenticeship ever – playing bass as an 18-year-old in The La’s. Forming Cast in 1991\, he sang\, wrote songs\, and played guitar for one of Britpop’s pre-eminent bands–securing two platinum-selling records before returning to the charts in 2024 with the magnificent Love Is The Call. \nJohn’s solo career produced some of his best work and through this summer\, Cast will join Oasis at their sell-out football stadium tour. \nHe said: “I had an absolute belter of a time on the road and can’t wait to go at it again; I am pretty sure I’ll have some great stories from the summer ahead\, as well as plenty of other from my career until now. See you there!” \nAfter a very busy 2025\, spring will once again\, give John time to reflect on Britpop\, the hits – Alright\, Sandstorm\, Walkaway\, Flying and more – in this intimate show that mixes his best-loved songs with wild\, funny\, and tender stories.
