DESCRIPTION:As part of the wider “Frome Connects” project in May\, Mojo Moves founder Ginny Adams is hosting a free to attend Kate Bush Flash Mob on the town’s famous Catherine Hill. \nDress up as the legend that is Bush (in the Running Up That Hill video) and join us for an impromptu dance on the hill to the track “Running Up That Hill”.\nYou can come as you are and just do your own thing or learn the simple choreography which will be offered at live rehearsals throughout May\, as well as being available on video via the Facebook event and on the Mojo Moves website. No actual running required. \nAfter the track has played once through\, we will head down the hill along Palmer Street and to the entrance of the formidable St John’s Church where head bell ringer Tony Hodges will lead his fellow campanologists in ringing out the tune – which has seen a resurgence due to cult TV show Stranger Things – on the bells which date back to the 17th and 18th Centuries! Ding dong! \nCome and join us and be a part of something legendary. \nFrome Connects is a town-wide\, people-powered experiment built around connectedness.

DESCRIPTION:World class choral music in Mells! \nTenebrae Associate Artists are coming to St Andrew’s Church in Mells on 19th July 2026\, 6.30pm\, for an evening of choral music that celebrates music inspired by love. Join the country’s next generation of talented singers for a programme of both sacred and secular music\, conducted by the award-winning Artistic Director of the Tenebrae Choir\, Nigel Short. Music in Country Churches was set up in 1989 to organise concerts of exceptional music in rural churches and is particularly keen to give concert opportunities to young and emerging performers. Following each concert\, a donation is made to the church to help with maintaining the building and carrying out essential repairs. Tickets cost £20 (General Admission\, first-come-first-seated). Wheelchair user and carer/companion (two-for-one) tickets are also available. Under 18s go free (must be accompanied by an adult). This promises to be a not-to-be-missed concert!

DESCRIPTION:Do you ever feel that even your weekends are too busy and demanding? That you need time out\, just to relax? Stolen Moments is a new kind of jazz event. A late Saturday afternoon interlude in the liminal space between day and evening. True down time\, in a beautiful church\, to do nothing but enjoy exquisite modern jazz and delicious cakes. \nTickets are not necessary and entry is free. A donation afterwards (which contributes to church funds) is optional. Just come along to Christ Church\, Frome from 3-5pm (doors 2:30pm) any second Saturday of the month except for July and August. The concerts are informal occasions and you are welcome to drop in and out.
