DESCRIPTION:Domenic DeCicco\, Michael Ormiston & Candida Valentino will be performing a special concert inspired by our connection to the Earth with music from a selection of their albums. The evening will feature Native American Flutes\, Cretan Laouto\, Mongolian Khöömii Overtone Singing\, Morin Khuur\, Mantra\, Himalayan Singing Bowls\, gongs\, heartfelt songs with acoustic guitar\, Cretan Laouto\, Tongue drum\, Indian Chakra Shlokas and much more. \nDomenic DeCicco is an acclaimed multi-instrumentalist\, vocalist and composer/producer\, who has travelled the world sharing his music as a solo artist and as co-founder/lead vocalist of the innovative acoustic roots band\, Praying for the Rain. He is a deeply soulful and compelling musician and storyteller who brings a rich\, uncluttered quality to his music that fills his songs with evocative imagery and lyrical narrative. He will be performing songs from his new album\, Reflections\, as well as from his 2023 Cd\, Earth to Sky and from his 2021 release Never Letting Go. \nMichael Ormiston is the UK’s most experienced Mongolian Khöömii (Overtone) Singer\, a multi-instrumentalist\, composer\, workshop leader and therapeutic sound practitioner. Michael’s Khöömii and overtone/undertone singing can be heard on his many CDs\, Hollywood films\, television documentaries\, theatre and dance productions. Michael is a very skilful\, creative and experienced Tibetan/Himalayan Singing Bowl and Gong player\, using them in performance and meditation. \nCandida Valentino is singer and instrumentalist specialising in Overtone & Undertone Singing\, Mantras\, Bowls\, gongs and is a Kirtan leader and sings Shlokas and Vedic Chants in Sanskrit. Originally trained in visual arts and theatre design. In her early 30’s she discovered the world of Sound Healing\, Mindfulness meditation\, movement through Qigong and Yoga.

DESCRIPTION:Genre-blending ensemble Rivers of England will take the stage for a special filmed recording session for their new album ‘…OR kestrel. Known for fusing acoustic folk roots with jazz\, blues\, and rock\, the band will perform a mix of classic tracks and brand-new material. \nThe evening features stunning orchestral arrangements by Danyal Dhondy\, who will also conduct the ensemble. Joining them on keyboards is the award-nominated film and television composer\, Daan Temmink. \nAudiences will get a firsthand look at the band’s latest creative chapter\, including a performance of their new title track\, ‘…OR kestrel.’ Written by lead singer Rob Spalding\, the song sets the tone for the album – mapping a deeply personal struggle between digital addiction and human presence. It serves as a sonic wake-up call\, guiding listeners from the paralysis of screen fatigue back to the freedom of the natural world.

DESCRIPTION:Errollyn Wallen — Mighty River\nSergei Prokofiev — Romeo and Juliet Suite No. 2\nSergei Rachmaninoff — Symphony No. 2\nWe are delighted to open our 2026-27 season — our 25th anniversary year — with this wonderful concert of colour\, drama and Russian romance. \nErrollyn Wallen’s Mighty River opens the concert with a work of striking colour and emotional weight\, composed to mark the bicentenary of the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade. Weaving fragments of the hymn “Amazing Grace” through a richly orchestrated soundscape\, it moves from darkness towards hope and resolution. \nProkofiev’s Romeo and Juliet Suite No. 2 draws some of the ballet’s most powerful scenes into the concert hall\, from the menace of the “Montagues and Capulets” to the tenderness of the balcony scene and the tragedy of Tybalt’s death. Prokofiev’s gift for vivid\, theatrical orchestration makes this music as gripping without the dancers as with them. \nThe evening closes with Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2\, a work of sweeping Romantic melody and deep emotional currents.
