Learn regenerative growing skills whilst actively contributing to our permaculture projects. \nThe day is designed to be an enriching experience working with us on tasks ranging from creating living willow structures to building hugelkultur beds\, from threshing quinoa to sowing and harvesting fruit and veg. There will be an opportunity for meditation\, sharing and nature connection. \nAt 1pm we will end with a simple shared lunch provided by 42 Acres (think nourishing soup and bread). Afterwards\, you’re welcome to stay and explore our land or take a wild dip in our lake. \nPlease Note: \n-These sessions run on the 1st Wed of every month\, Apr-Sep.\n-Booking opens 30 days in advance. DESCRIPTION:Our earliest experiences of family shape us more deeply than we often realise. Our families are where we learned about relationships\, and whether we grew up with siblings or without them\, we each carry quiet stories about belonging\, comparison\, responsibility\, closeness\, rivalry\, or loneliness from these foundational early years. These stories don’t disappear when we become adults and it can be surprising how often they are still alive in how we view our place in the world today. \nAs mothers\, these patterns subtly inform how we see our children\, how we interpret their relationships\, and how we respond and relate to the dynamics between them. We want our children to get along (or have a healthy only-child experience)\, while also knowing how deeply precious they are to us. When we experience sibling rivalry\, troubling behaviour\, or even ‘the easy kid’\, there are so many stories in the making for our children and as the parents we can find ourselves responding based on the hurts or stories of where we came from. But this often means we miss things\, because there are always more sides to any story. \nThe Sibling Story is an opportunity to gain new perspective on patterns and stories created by our ‘oldest\, ‘middle’\, ‘baby’ identities\, wherever or whatever the variation. It is a gentle space to put ourselves in the shoes of our children and bring some curiosity to how we can support them to the most vibrant versions of themselves\, within their sibling identity and outside of it. And an opportunity for ourselves as adults to shed any stories that are still keeping us in habits or behaviours that we never loved to begin with. \nThis workshop invites curiosity\, compassion\, and perspective. This is not a parenting “how-to” or a space for comparison. It is a reflective\, human space. One that honours complexity\, individuality\, and the reality that every family looks and feels different. \nYou’ll leave with greater clarity\, new perspective and awareness\, and practical insights you can carry into everyday family life –  supporting both your children and yourself to thrive.

SUMMARY:Dual Natures Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Dual Natures brings together the paintings of Hannah Thomas and Genevieve Leavold in an exhibition that examines the duality inherent in both the natural world and human experience. Rooted in these tensions\, the exhibition explores the interplay between emotional and physical states\, conscious and unconscious impulses\, and the subjectivity of interpretation and visceral response in an audience. \nHannah Thomas’ practice is driven by an investigation into moral ambiguity and humanity’s conflicted relationship with nature. Through a semi-abstracted process\, with recurring potent motifs\, the resulting landscapes pulse with hints of predation. Through this lens\, nature is presented as a site of constant movement and adaptation\, where beauty and violence co-exist and identity remains unstable. \nGenevieve Leavold is predominantly known for her freeform\, organic paintings\, her reverence for spontaneous gesture draws from Zen\, Buddhism\, and other philosophies that embrace the concept of universal consciousness. Her approach is immediacy; working wet colour into wet and layering glazes gives her work its recognisable softness and movement.. DESCRIPTION:Come one\, come all with your piles of broken clothes. We will help each other with inspiration and advice. Let’s fix 100 items in one day!\nJoin the Mammoth Mending Day! \nDrop in whenever you want between 10am and 4pm\, come and go or stay the whole day. \nHow many items can Frome mend in one day? We’re going to aim for 100+ items! Yes! \nFind your piles of broken clothes – from holey jumpers to a torn shirt – and bring them along to fix them in the lovely company of everyone else getting through their mending pile – an ultra satisfying day saving clothes from the bin. \nPeople from the Everyone Needs Pockets Textile Network will be there fixing their own clothes. We can all help each other\, sharing advice and skills and inspiration. Patch in a way you’d never imagined\, visible and invisible. \nAre you struggling to mend your clothes yourself? Maybe your eyesight or hands make it hard? No problem\, come along and we will do our best to help. In the questions in the ticket link\, let us know your needs. \nNothing to mend? Come and mend for a friend/neighbour. Or help someone else on the day. \nIf you would like specific advice or support with mending\, it’s best to book into the dedicated small group session as part of our day from 11amd to 1pm – How To Mend Your Clothes – led by Jill Philips. \nInformation: \nWe have a repair kit with needles\, threads and patches\, and you’re welocme to use it\, or bring your own stuff\nWe will have a couple of sewing machines to share\nBring a cushion with you if you can – more comfy through the day!\nTea\, coffee\, hot drinks and snacks through the day\nWe welcome donations to support the future of Everyone Needs Pockets (cash or card)\nSome songs from Nicola too\nThis event is aimed at aged 12yrs+ as there aren’t activities aimed at children.\nFrome Town Hall is fully accessible (via a lift) for wheeled users. \nBook a FREE ticket as it helps us know how many are coming along and any specific needs you might have.

DESCRIPTION:Full Reality Living – living with vivid awareness and being resourced to meet turbulent times. \nSix Week Course starting Monday 12th January 7-9:30 \nProfoundly transformative for our hearts as well as minds:\nPart 1 focuses on instruction in two essential and far-reaching meditation practices: the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Development of Loving Kindness (Metta Bhavana).\nThese practices from the Buddhist tradition encourage a direct and complete engagement with what is really happening in our lives.\nThey encourage focus\, clarity\, relaxation\, confidence\, and opening the heart\, and give us the tools for a more resourced and vivid life. \nWith time for instruction\, practice and discussion\, you will be supported with handouts and in setting up a home practice.
