DESCRIPTION:Singer songwriter open mic is purely for singer songwriters. It’s monthly from 8pm – 10:30pm and usually every 1st Friday of the month unless stated otherwise on various socials.\nIt’s specifically for musicians to feel respected and safe while they perform their own material.\nWe love an audience to appreciate it too. Therefore we have a couple of breaks in between so people can chat and meet other musicians.\nIt’s £3 entry fee and we’d love cash if you can provide!\nBring your own tipple\, we provide glasses.\nWe have a small PA for amplification if needed.\nPlease text 07586 045986 for more information.

DESCRIPTION:A free\, fun\, family-friendly event supported by Bonne Maman marks Valentine’s Day and Pancake Day in the town centre on Saturday 14th February from 12pm to 3pm\, as the ‘Stacks of Love’ pancake dash comes to town. From midday\, there will be themed crafts\, games\, Valentine’s face painting\, hot and cold drinks\, a crêpe stall and other sweet treats around the Boyle Cross\, plus a Valentine’s-themed selfie frame for a portrait of you and your Valentine. From 1pm\, pancake dashes set off every five minutes from outside the Blue Boar up to the Boyle Cross.

Don’t miss this annual celebration at Frome’s most romantic landmark! \n5:30pm: A Queen of Hearts rocket will be set off\, exploding in a heart shape\, to kick off the festivities. \nEnjoy some mulled wine\, music from accordionist Tom Woolman and dancing from Selwood Bounds Morris Dancers. \n6pm: The ceremony will start with a special Valentine cry by the town crier\, followed by themed poems from Frome Writers Collective Poets. \nEddie Young\, lamplighter since 2025\, will light the lamp and read the dedication to Saint Valentine.

Hope and renewal are visible and the excitement of the beginning of a new cycle of growth is felt amongst us all. \nCherished by many\, this annual event gathers gardening enthusiasts\, community groups and enterprises\, local producers and businesses to celebrate local food and horticulture together.
