Join us to learn new skills\, spend time in nature\, and connect with like-minded folk. \nCome and spend a few hours in nature doing something that matters. No experience is necessary\, just a willingness to get stuck in and try something new. \n42 Acres has been a rewilding nature reserve for over a decade and is species-rich. Join us to connect with the natural world through hands-on activities from wildlife surveying\, to tending habitats\, and slowing down with nature photography. \nSessions run on the last Sunday of the month 10am-2pm (except in May when we are meeting at 8pm for bats and beavers!). There will be time to connect\, wander\, and simply be outside. If you’re up for it\, you’re welcome to join in for a wild swim too. Or take a creative route\, help us start making a handmade herbarium for the site while learning how to “key out”\, a step by step process used to identify unknown plant species. \nSun 27 Sep: Trees\nDiscover the stories of Britain’s ancient and veteran trees\, and learn how to identify and photograph them in their late-summer form. \nSun 25 Oct: Harvest Mice and Native Fungi:\nHelp us ascertain whether harvest mice are present on the land at 42\, we’ll search together for their tiny nests. DESCRIPTION:Life as a mum can be wonderful\, exhausting and\, at times\, lonely. It’s easy to spend so much time looking after everyone else that you forget to look after yourself.\nSinging Mamas is a warm\, welcoming wellbeing singing group where you can come exactly as you are. No auditions\, no performances and absolutely no singing experience needed.\nTogether we’ll sing simple\, uplifting songs from around the world\, learning everything by ear in a relaxed and supportive space. Singing has been shown to reduce stress\, lift mood\, regulate the nervous system and help us feel more connected to ourselves and each other.\nBabies and young children are very welcome. They can play\, feed\, nap\, wander around or join in however they like. There is no expectation for little ones to sit still or be quiet.\nAfter an hour of singing\, we stay for tea\, cake and conversation\, because community matters just as much as the singing.\nWhether you’re pregnant\, a new mum\, have toddlers\, school-aged children or simply long for connection with other women\, you’ll find a place here.\nCome for the singing.\nLeave feeling lighter\, calmer and connected. \nWhat to expect: \n\nOne hour of joyful\, relaxed singing\nTea\, cake and conversation afterwards\nA friendly\, supportive community\nA space where both you and your child are welcome exactly as you are\nYou don’t need a good singing voice\nYou just need to come.
