It is expression and it is spirit.” Humour is also never far from a Hothouse Flowers night. They do not take themselves seriously however\, there is no mistaking the musical integrity among them as they open up to each other in musical dialogue. \nFiachna\, Liam and Peter are traditional musicians. This allows for moments of ancestral connection. From a Doors-like musical workout one minute\, to an earnest and timeless offering to the memory of Currachaí na Tra Báine the next. A song inherited by Fiachna describing the blow inflicted upon a community and a family due to drowning. This moment and moments like these set the Flowers apart from almost any other band of their time and trade. They are carriers of culture and all of what that entails.

You’ll learn the key features needed to safely identify each mushroom and where each is commonly found. \nIn the afternoon you will be creating your own wild mushroom ‘medicine cabinet.’ You will learn how to safely preserve your mushrooms and extract their medicine for use all year round\, in yours and your loved ones lives – for a host of illness and preventative uses. This medicine is often very expensive and our shared vision is to support you to be able to do it yourself safely. Our intention is for you to feel empowered to harvest your own mushroom medicine cabinet and grow your own medicinal mushrooms. \nYou will also learn the ancient technique of mushroom inoculation – a highly sustainable method that mimics nature and produces mushrooms dense in nutrients that are hard to find from other food sources.
