Following Tony’s untimely passing\, the band paid tribute to his life and work with a series of special performances titled “The Passage in Time” — a two-hour celebration of some of Tony’s most iconic compositions. \nThe shows\, performed by Bob Catley\, Rick Benton\, Lee Morris\, Dennis Ward\, and Brendon Riley (who stepped into Tony’s role on stage with immense pride and respect)\, were met with overwhelming love and gratitude from fans and the wider rock community. The energy\, emotion\, and shared sense of remembrance reaffirmed the band’s belief that Tony’s music — and the spirit of Magnum — must continue. \nIn the wake of these heartfelt tributes\, Dionne Clarkin\, Tony’s daughter\, began exploring over three decades of Magnum’s archives. Her journey uncovered a treasure trove of material — from early drafts and lyric notes that reveal the evolution of some of Magnum’s most beloved songs\, to four fully completed\, never-before-heard tracks that capture Tony’s creative brilliance in his final years. \nThis discovery marks the beginning of a new chapter for Magnum — one that celebrates the band’s past while looking boldly to the future. \n“The support from fans has been truly overwhelming\,” said the band. “Tony’s music has always been at the heart of Magnum\, and with Dionne’s dedication and the incredible response from the shows\, we know the story isn’t over. DESCRIPTION:The Autumn Equinox is that beautiful moment when day and night are held in perfect balance before the landscape begins its gentle transition into winter. Rather than celebrating abundance\, it celebrates noticing\, seed heads instead of flowers\, texture instead of colour\, habitats instead of displays. \nTo celebrate this Autumn Equinox we invite you to join Amanda Randell Cox\, a local artist specialising in landscape-led botanical design\, at Heal Somerset for a morning of exploration\, creation and delicious food. We will start the day with tea\, coffee\, fruit and pastries followed by a guided walk around our beautiful rewilding site.  We will then return to the community nature cabin for a creative botanical session inspired by everything we’ve just seen together during the morning walk. \nCreate your own beautiful autumn meadow using seasonal grasses and seed heads\, before making a delicate wire insect to nestle within it. No experience is necessary\, just a willingness to get stuck in and try something new. \n42 Acres has been a rewilding nature reserve for over a decade and is species-rich. Join us to connect with the natural world through hands-on activities from wildlife surveying\, to tending habitats\, and slowing down with nature photography. \nSessions run on the last Sunday of the month 10am-2pm (except in May when we are meeting at 8pm for bats and beavers!). There will be time to connect\, wander\, and simply be outside. If you’re up for it\, you’re welcome to join in for a wild swim too. At 1pm we’ll stop and share a simple lunch together\, provided by 42 Acres. \n____ \nSun 31 May: Bats and Beavers: \nPart of the Great Somerset Wildlife Count\, with guest expert Keith Ball (Somerset Bat Group). Please note: this is an evening session\, running 8–10pm\, as we head out for some gentle nocturnal exploration. \nSun 28 June: Hazel Dormice & Reading Nature: \nJoin us to create footprint tunnels for hazel dormice to discover whether this protected species (that have been spotted on neighbouring land!) exist at 42. We’ll also take a relaxed walk around the 11-acre lake\, recording observations and contributing to global biodiversity databases. We’ll look for signs of beaver activity\, tracks\, and birdlife\, and finish at the white stork enclosure\, part of our species reintroduction work. Guided by Lynne Sewell (Sustainable Witham)\, Robyn Caple (@nestandnettleecology)\, and Lisa Hawes (42 Acres). \nSun 26 July: Butterflies\, Dragonflies + Pond Dipping: \nPart of the UK Butterfly Monitoring Scheme\, one of the longest-running insect surveys in the world. With guest expert Fred Giles\, we’ll explore the world of butterflies\, dragonflies\, and other insects\, with a chance to get closer through pond dipping and observation. \nSun 30 Aug: Reptiles and Botanics: \nJoin us to check reptile refuges across the site\, helping us understand which species are present (and which are likely absent). Or take a creative route\, help us start making a handmade herbarium for the site while learning how to “key out”\, a step by step process used to identify unknown plant species. \nSun 27 Sep: Trees\nDiscover the stories of Britain’s ancient and veteran trees\, and learn how to identify and photograph them in their late-summer form. \nSun 25 Oct: Harvest Mice and Native Fungi:\nHelp us ascertain whether harvest mice are present on the land at 42\, we’ll search together for their tiny nests. No auditions\, no performances and absolutely no singing experience needed.\nTogether we’ll sing simple\, uplifting songs from around the world\, learning everything by ear in a relaxed and supportive space. Singing has been shown to reduce stress\, lift mood\, regulate the nervous system and help us feel more connected to ourselves and each other.\nBabies and young children are very welcome. They can play\, feed\, nap\, wander around or join in however they like.
