This is a welcoming and relaxed walk to celebrate worldwide Half-Frame Photography Day. \nThis walk is open to everyone\, but especially the photography community in Frome\, along with anyone from nearby Bath\, Bristol\, Somerset\, and Wiltshire. \nThe walk will be approx 3.5km and will start at Frome Train Station\, heading through town before ending at nearby Victoria Park\, where there’s a café and nice space for a picnic. \nYou don’t have to bring a half-frame camera; any film camera will be great! But if you’d like recommendations or want to purchase a half-frame camera before the walk\, please get in touch with @fromography on Instagram or email mae@fromography.co.uk \nBring a camera and some film\, maybe bring a friend\, and come hang out with other photographers and explore the lovely town of Frome. Running away hasn’t worked; lying won’t work; he must become a real boy to achieve the belonging he craves. Collodi describes the development from puppet to real boy in the same way that useless green timber is matured into useful\, well-seasoned wood – a transformation only achieved through trials of water and fire. DESCRIPTION:MAGIS XL the encore to THINK XL\, showcases 40 artworks generously donated by 40 artists each with a connection to Black Swan Arts to continue its 40th anniversary celebrations. \nThis major fundraising exhibition builds on the success of April’s THINK XL when many artists responded to personal requests to gift artwork for the benefit of the arts centre.  Initially a single exhibition was planned\, however with two thirds of the artworks sold\, word spread of the exhibition and more artists offered to donate their artwork. By mid May the idea for a second exhibition was underway. \nMAGIS XL is exhibiting artwork; ceramics\, glasswork\, paintings\, photographs and sculpture from Frome and regionally based artists who are nationally and internationally recognised in their fields\, including donations from Christopher Bucklow\, Ian Marlow MRSS\, Bruce Munro\, Sandra Porter RWA\, Patricia Volk FRSS. \n100% of sales with build on over £3000 raised from THINK XL\, with the aim to at least double the total\, all of which will support a secure future of Frome’s first centre for visual arts.

And will his sweetheart\, Mabel\, wait for him that long? \nPerformed by a six-strong cast of actors/singers with fully orchestrated accompaniment\, The Pirates of Penzance boasts such gloriously memorable songs as “To be a Pirate King!”; “Modern Major General” and “A Policeman’s Lot is Not a Happy One”. Here is an invitation to gather in a held container of sacred space and become part of a living community of spiritual practice and inquiry. Together we will explore the inter-relational aspects of being human on this earth at this time\, and cultivate our capacities to bring healing to ourselves\, one another and this world. \nThe first full day of Emerging Earth is an invitation to deepen our connection with the earth element through the wisdom of the body\, the land\, and the natural world. The day weaves together embodiment\, meditation\, creativity\, and practices that reconnect us with the rhythms of nature. \nThe morning begins with Meditation and Movement with Brij\, followed by breakfast and our Whole Group Circle\, a space to gather\, connect\, and arrive together as a community.\nThe first session of the day offers to choose between Somatic Grounding and Centring with Rui Rodrigues\, Revival of Land-Based Spirituality with Rachel Knight\, and Cyclical Nature: A Playful\, Embodied\, Exploration of Our Cyclicity\, Connection and Remembering as Ourselves as Nature with Support from the Plants with Emma Sampson. \nThe first session is followed by communal lunch and after\, we enter a spacious period of collective rest\, exhale\, integration and being with the land. Another option during this time\, would be joining Rewilding Walk led by the 42 Acres team. \nThe afternoon continues with a choice of immersive experiences\, including Brij McCracken’s Environmental Cultivation: Ways of Discovering Open Presence of Awareness Through Relational Inhabitation and Meditation (Meditation Exploration Space)\, Plant Meditation with Jennifer Gwairocha. A second afternoon session offers a Panel Discussion on Neurodiversity held by Listening to the Land and Vaughan’s Breathwork Session. \nThe day closes with an evening storytelling session led by Michelle Hawkins and A Space for Healing\, Expression and Restoration Through Sound and Vibration with Rebecca Campbell and Nicolette Corcoran. \nThroughout the day\, you’ll have the opportunity to book one-on-one sessions\, including traditional Lithuanian pirtis (sauna) rituals\, hypnotherapy\, somatic bodywork\, massage\, and more.

Through dance\, sound\, and reflective practices\, the day explores the ways we can soften\, connect\, and move with greater presence. \nThe day begins with Daoist Meditation and Yin Movement with Brij and Ezgi Erdal’s integration practice\, followed by breakfast and our Whole Group Circle\, a space to reconnect\, ground\, and move into the day together. \nThe morning session opens with the option of joining Sophie Bolton’s Outdoor Dance session\, an embodied experience inviting participants to connect with movement\, nature\, and the intelligence of the body\, and Nikki Trott’s Sacred Business session\, exploring the relationship between inner alignment and conscious creation. Another option during this time\, would be joining Wild Nutrition Workshop with Christina De Beuklaar \nThe first session is follow by communal lunch and after\, we enter a spacious period of collective rest\, exhale\, integration and being with the land. \nThe afternoon offers a choice between A Sound Journey with Joe and Garwyn\, a sonic exploration supporting deep listening and inner connection\, or Dee Woods’ Tending the River Ceremony\, an invitation to explore the symbolism and wisdom of water through creative and reflective practice. \nThe second afternoon session is Breathwork Session with Vaughan Dagnell. Vaughan is a trauma aware Embodied Resilience Practitioner and Conscious Connected Breathwork Facilitator\, working with somatic experiencing and central nervous system regulation. His work explores a hybrid of cognitive and somatic work to find balance and flow in everyday life. \nThe day will close with a performance by Jennifer Gwairoch – a musician and spiritual practitioner whose work is inspired by years of devotion to the living intelligence of the natural world\, esoteric traditions\, and the path of inner transformation. Through intuitive vocals\, prayer\, and original compositions\, Jennifer create immersive musical experiences that invite deep remembrance\, healing\, and reconnection with the heart. WTF?) \nBy the time he’d graduated in 1984\, he was already performing on the London stand-up circuit and at his native Edinburgh Festival Fringe\, and got his first TV series with the BBC in 1986. In a TV career of over 30 years\, he’s won numerous awards\, including 3 BAFTAs for his long-running Channel 4 satire series Bremner Bird & Fortune\, featuring Rory and the two Johns. \nRory’s other TV credits include regularly appearing on Whose Line is it Anyway\, Spitting Image\, Have I Got News for You\, and Mock the Week. \nRoger Monkhouse is one of the most original and distinctive acts on the comedy scene.
