From forest bathing to making ferments\, each bridge we build between the natural world and ourselves is a step further towards creating healthy habits which are good for both mind and body. \nJoin Alex from Somerset Kimchi and Kraut and Tamsin\, Head of Land and Learning at Vallis Farm on this one day workshop to learn about how healthy soils work\, the impact of gardening on both physical and mental health\, and how we can make simple changes for big benefits. Expect a gentle walk through our forest garden and local woodland to see what plants we can grow and forage to improve our gut biome. You’ll be getting your hands in the soil and learning how there are direct links between our interactions with the earth\, our food and our happiness. \nWe will then enjoy a super healthy and delicious lunch together before learning how to make ferments both for ourselves and our gardens. DESCRIPTION:MAGIS XL the encore to THINK XL\, showcases 40 artworks generously donated by 40 artists each with a connection to Black Swan Arts to continue its 40th anniversary celebrations. \nThis major fundraising exhibition builds on the success of April’s THINK XL when many artists responded to personal requests to gift artwork for the benefit of the arts centre.  Initially a single exhibition was planned\, however with two thirds of the artworks sold\, word spread of the exhibition and more artists offered to donate their artwork. By mid May the idea for a second exhibition was underway. \nMAGIS XL is exhibiting artwork; ceramics\, glasswork\, paintings\, photographs and sculpture from Frome and regionally based artists who are nationally and internationally recognised in their fields\, including donations from Christopher Bucklow\, Ian Marlow MRSS\, Bruce Munro\, Sandra Porter RWA\, Patricia Volk FRSS. \n100% of sales with build on over £3000 raised from THINK XL\, with the aim to at least double the total\, all of which will support a secure future of Frome’s first centre for visual arts.

And will his sweetheart\, Mabel\, wait for him that long? \nPerformed by a six-strong cast of actors/singers with fully orchestrated accompaniment\, The Pirates of Penzance boasts such gloriously memorable songs as “To be a Pirate King!”; “Modern Major General” and “A Policeman’s Lot is Not a Happy One”. With razor-sharp satire and glittering wit\, it remains as fresh as if it had been written today. \nThis performance will be outdoors at the E.C.O.S. Amphitheatre. The day weaves together embodiment\, meditation\, creativity\, and practices that reconnect us with the rhythms of nature. \nThe morning begins with Meditation and Movement with Brij\, followed by breakfast and our Whole Group Circle\, a space to gather\, connect\, and arrive together as a community.\nThe first session of the day offers to choose between Somatic Grounding and Centring with Rui Rodrigues\, Revival of Land-Based Spirituality with Rachel Knight\, and Cyclical Nature: A Playful\, Embodied\, Exploration of Our Cyclicity\, Connection and Remembering as Ourselves as Nature with Support from the Plants with Emma Sampson. \nThe first session is followed by communal lunch and after\, we enter a spacious period of collective rest\, exhale\, integration and being with the land. Another option during this time\, would be joining Rewilding Walk led by the 42 Acres team. \nThe afternoon continues with a choice of immersive experiences\, including Brij McCracken’s Environmental Cultivation: Ways of Discovering Open Presence of Awareness Through Relational Inhabitation and Meditation (Meditation Exploration Space)\, Plant Meditation with Jennifer Gwairocha. A second afternoon session offers a Panel Discussion on Neurodiversity held by Listening to the Land and Vaughan’s Breathwork Session. \nThe day closes with an evening storytelling session led by Michelle Hawkins and A Space for Healing\, Expression and Restoration Through Sound and Vibration with Rebecca Campbell and Nicolette Corcoran. \nThroughout the day\, you’ll have the opportunity to book one-on-one sessions\, including traditional Lithuanian pirtis (sauna) rituals\, hypnotherapy\, somatic bodywork\, massage\, and more.

Another option during this time\, would be joining Wild Nutrition Workshop with Christina De Beuklaar \nThe first session is follow by communal lunch and after\, we enter a spacious period of collective rest\, exhale\, integration and being with the land. \nThe afternoon offers a choice between A Sound Journey with Joe and Garwyn\, a sonic exploration supporting deep listening and inner connection\, or Dee Woods’ Tending the River Ceremony\, an invitation to explore the symbolism and wisdom of water through creative and reflective practice. \nThe second afternoon session is Breathwork Session with Vaughan Dagnell. Vaughan is a trauma aware Embodied Resilience Practitioner and Conscious Connected Breathwork Facilitator\, working with somatic experiencing and central nervous system regulation. His work explores a hybrid of cognitive and somatic work to find balance and flow in everyday life. \nThe day will close with a performance by Jennifer Gwairoch – a musician and spiritual practitioner whose work is inspired by years of devotion to the living intelligence of the natural world\, esoteric traditions\, and the path of inner transformation.
