Join the country’s next generation of talented singers for a programme of both sacred and secular music\, conducted by the award-winning Artistic Director of the Tenebrae Choir\, Nigel Short. Music in Country Churches was set up in 1989 to organise concerts of exceptional music in rural churches and is particularly keen to give concert opportunities to young and emerging performers. Following each concert\, a donation is made to the church to help with maintaining the building and carrying out essential repairs. Tickets cost £20 (General Admission\, first-come-first-seated). Wheelchair user and carer/companion (two-for-one) tickets are also available. Under 18s go free (must be accompanied by an adult). This promises to be a not-to-be-missed concert!

Known for their dual-vocal attack—John Loughlin’s guttural growl alongside Frank Regan’s raw intensity\, the band quickly built a reputation for chaotic\, high-energy live shows. \nAfter the release of their self-titled debut (2000) and We Will Be Dead Tomorrow (2002)\, which saw “The Gush” enter the UK charts\, the band toured relentlessly with acts like Rammstein\, Slipknot\, and Biohazard\, and played major festivals including Ozzfest\, Reading\, and Download. Their third album\, How the Great Have Fallen (2005)\, preceded lineup changes and a fourth release\, Before the Sea Was Built (2007)\, before they disbanded in 2008. \nReforming in 2014\, the band returned with renewed energy\, headlining stages at Sonisphere and Damnation Festival\, and releasing Lost Ritual (2016) and Hard to Kill (2020)\, the latter charting across UK rock and indie rankings. SUMMARY:Frome Heritage Trail
DESCRIPTION:The Frome Heritage Trail is a circular walk beginning at Justice Lane and ending at Whittox Lane. The route highlights much of the incredible heritage of Frome – a town that has more listed buildings than anywhere else in Somerset – and follows the series of numbered plaques originally erected to celebrate Frome’s 1300th anniversary in 1985. Led by local historian and author David Lassman. There will be at least two steep climbs over cobbled stones during the walk – Gentle Street and Catherine Hill. Over 14s only (under 18s to be accompanied by adult). DESCRIPTION:The lost pubs of Frome #1 is the first of three different walks taking place across the festival weekend. This walk begins at Whittox Lane and visits more than a dozen sites of lost pubs to the west of the town centre\, including those in Trinity and Badcox\, as well as Catherine Hill and Catherine Street. Led by David Lassman. There will be at least two steep slopes\, one up and one down\, with one of them over cobbled stones during the walk – Castle Street and Catherine Hill.
