DESCRIPTION:This youth club is suitable for those aged 12 – 14. \nJoin us for an afterschool club where you can plant trees\, build fires\, cook food grown you’ve harvested from the ground and go dipping for frogs and newts in the pond. Or if you’d prefer to play manhunt in the forest garden? You can do that too. This is a group for anyone who wants to spend more time outdoors\, maybe learning about nature if that’s your thing\, but no pressure. As long as you’re yourself\, that’s what counts. We want EVERYBODY OUTDOORS! \nWe have some spaces available at a reduced rate for those on a low wage and are reserving limited spaces for free to enable this to be for everyone for real so if your child wants this but you can’t make it happen\, then maybe we can. DESCRIPTION:An invitation to spend a half-day working with our team in our permaculture produce garden. Learn regenerative growing skills whilst actively contributing to our permaculture projects. \nThe day is designed to be an enriching experience working with us on tasks ranging from creating living willow structures to building hugelkultur beds\, from threshing quinoa to sowing and harvesting fruit and veg. There will be an opportunity for meditation\, sharing and nature connection. \nAt 1pm we will end with a simple shared lunch provided by 42 Acres (think nourishing soup and bread). Afterwards\, you’re welcome to stay and explore our land or take a wild dip in our lake. \nPlease Note: \n-These sessions run on the 1st Wed of every month\, Apr-Sep.\n-Booking opens 30 days in advance. If you want to hang out in the orchard with the sheep\, building dens and bug hotels we can do that too. \nThis is a place where you get to decide. The important thing is to be outdoors\, enjoying time together. \nWe meet every Wednesday during term time 5-6.30pm. We can only accept bookings for a term at a time. This term starts on Wednesday 10th June and the last session is on Wednesday 15th July. There are seven sessions in the summer term. DESCRIPTION:In 2000\, Tim Bentley created the Millennium Tree Project\, and now you can join him for one of two distinct guided walks exploring some of the 2\,000 trees he planted with local volunteers across Frome\, showing how they’ve flourished\, supported wildlife\, and shaped the town’s green landscape over the years. \nThere will be two walks covering different parts of the town to see how some of trees have grown over the past 26 years (ticketed separately):\nWalk 1 on Friday 3rd July will start and finish at the Cheese and Grain.\nWalk 2 on Friday 10th July will start and finish at the entrance to the Dippy on Culverhill. \nThis event is part of Frome Festival.
