Nevertheless\, their music has persisted\, embraced by the very culture that birthed it. “Bodies” remains an enduring anthem\, not just for Drowning Pool but for metal culture as a whole. Its legacy lives on\, inspiring new generations of fans. Guitarist C.J. The band experienced a triumphant resurgence in 2023 and with new music on the horizon\, a 2024/25 calendar proving that the demand for the band isn’t about to slow down..\, Drowning Pool has a white knuckle grip on their present and future with no plans to slow down. \nSNOT \nSNOT is an American punk band from Santa Barbara\, California\, originally formed in 1995. Known for blending punk rock\, hardcore\, and funk influences\, featured Lynn Strait as the charismatic lead vocalist\, along with the lead guitarist Mikey Doling\, bassist John Fahnestock\, drummer Jamie Miller\, and later\, Sonny Mayo on guitar. SNOT brought an edgy\, high-energy sound to the late ’90s music scene. The first full-length album\, Get Some\, released in 1997\, became iconic for its aggressive sound and Strait’s raw\, confrontational lyrics. The album received praise for its energy and distinctive fusion of punk and metal elements\, positioning SNOT as part of the emerging nu-metal scene\, alongside bands like Korn and Limp Bizkit\, with whom they often shared the stage. Unfortunately\, the band’s career was cut short in 1998 when Lynn Strait tragically died in a car accident\, along with his dog\, Dobbs\, who was featured on the cover of Get Some. \nFollowing Strait’s death\, the band dissolved\, but SNOT’s impact continued\, and SNOT developed a devoted cult following. In 2000\, Mikey Doling produced Strait Up\, a tribute album that featured guest vocalists from various bands performing unreleased SNOT tracks as a tribute to Strait’s memory. Over the years\, SNOT’s music has maintained its influence within the punk and metal communities as the legendary punk band. In 2025\, SNOT decided to return to the scene with the new singer. DESCRIPTION:Ben Ottewell is a British musician best known as the gravelly-voiced frontman of the indie rock band Gomez. Born on June 23\, 1976\, in Chesterfield\, England\, Ottewell began his musical journey at a young age\, inspired by his father’s eclectic record collection. In 1996\, he co-founded Gomez with Ian Ball\, Tom Gray\, Paul Blackburn\, and Olly Peacock while studying at university in Sheffield. \nGomez quickly gained attention with their debut album\, “Bring It On\,” released in 1998\,which won the Mercury Music Prize. Ottewell’s distinctive vocals and songwriting contributed to the band’s unique sound\, characterized by a blend of blues\, folk\, and rock elements. The band went on to release several critically acclaimed albums\, including”Liquid Skin” (1999) and “In Our Gun” (2002) . Throughout Gomez’s career\, Ottewell’s soulful voice and introspective lyrics resonated with fans\, earning him a dedicated following. \nHis solo career saw him exploring a more stripped-down acoustic sound\, showcasing his raw talent and emotive storytelling. In 2011\, Ottewell released his debut solo album\, “Shapes & Shadows\,” followed by”Rattlebag” in 2014 and ‘A Man Apart’ in 2017. They pick up on far more than we realise\, and often respond before we’ve even had time to process what’s happening in ourselves. \nBut it’s not always obvious. Sometimes we assume certain challenges are just ‘who our child is\,’ or that tension in our home\, our relationship\, or ourselves is ‘just part of motherhood\,’ without ever looking at the energetic patterns underneath it all. \nAnd yet\, as mothers\, we are so often the leading energy of the home. \nWhen we begin to understand the energetics of motherhood\, so much starts to make sense: our children’s behaviour\, our own reactivity\, the pressure we carry\, the strain that can build in our relationships\, and the loss of self so many women feel as they try to hold everything together. \nUnderstanding our energy is a superpower. It helps us lead with more awareness\, build deeper connection with our children and partners\, and return to ourselves with greater confidence\, softness\, and self-trust. \nThis lens is especially powerful in a season where so many mothers are living in constant doing; organising\, anticipating\, managing\, leading\, carrying. In other words\, spending so much time in masculine energy that we begin to feel depleted\, disconnected\, resentful\, or far from ourselves. \nWe need a healthy balance of masculine and feminine energy to thrive\, and that balance will look different for every woman. This is a group for anyone who wants to spend more time outdoors\, maybe learning about nature if that’s your thing\, but no pressure. As long as you’re yourself\, that’s what counts. We want EVERYBODY OUTDOORS! \nWe have some spaces available at a reduced rate for those on a low wage and are reserving limited spaces for free to enable this to be for everyone for real so if your child wants this but you can’t make it happen\, then maybe we can. DESCRIPTION:Indie rock icons Maxïmo Park celebrate 20 years since the release of their Mercury Prize-nominated breakthrough debut album “A Certain Trigger” with a special one-off show at the Cheese and Grain. \nThe Mercury Prize-nominated record\, produced by Paul Epworth and released on Warp\, arrived with a trio of iconic singles in ‘Apply Some Pressure’\, ‘Graffiti’\, and ‘Going Missing’\, each of which still define the indie disco experience for many to this day. Released at the time into a landscape soon to become dominated by ten-a-penny guitar bands\, with A Certain Trigger Maxïmo Park were the bookish\, livewire outsiders\, bursting with punk power\, pop sensibility and literary smarts. \nEven their signing to Warp records – a label predominantly known for its experimental and electronic roster at the time – suggested a band with its eyes set beyond the horizon. Almost immediately\, and certainly in the time since its release\, A Certain Trigger has installed itself as a scene staple\, and a curiosity of the 00s that packs as much power today as it did 20 years ago. \nLead singer Paul Smith says “Not many bands make it to a twentieth year together so we’re having a big celebration\, with a special 20th anniversary tour and by giving a fresh perspective to A Certain Trigger. Our first album remains dear to so many people\, and compiling archive material for the reissue has been like entering a time machine – thrilling\, but also a bit scary! Happily\, we think the music has more than stood the test of time\, and the tour\, where we’ll revisit many of the beloved older songs\, will be a joyful experience for both us and our audience. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a joyful morning of singing\, instruments and summer fun! \nLittle Piccolos preschool music classes\, based on Kodaly methods\, adds musical magic to your child’s life. \nMovement\, rhythm games and musical play – learning the magic of music through fun. \nNo backing tracks – original songs written by music therapists and run by musicians. \nHands-on instruments for little musicians: crash a cymbal\, bang a drum. \nA warm\, welcoming space for grow-ups too. \nPerfect for babies\, toddlers and pre-schoolers\, our classes build confidence\, coordination and a love of music through play. \nCome and make some noise\, make some memories\, and make some magical music in the sunshine! \nSpaces are limited – booking essential. SUMMARY:Vallis Farm's Youth Club for ages 14 - 16
DESCRIPTION:This youth club is suitable for those aged 14 – 16. \nJoin us at the farm for fire building\, pond dipping\, tree planting\, creating wildlife habitats\, checking for snakes (yes\, we have snakes) or whatever you want to do that day. If the sun is shining and you want just enjoy it then do! If you want to hang out in the orchard with the sheep\, building dens and bug hotels we can do that too. \nThis is a place where you get to decide. The important thing is to be outdoors\, enjoying time together. \nWe meet every Wednesday during term time 5-6.30pm. We can only accept bookings for a term at a time. This term starts on Wednesday 10th June and the last session is on Wednesday 15th July. There are seven sessions in the summer term. Sorry\, no one off bookings. \nWe do however\, want EVERYBODY OUTDOORS so we have limited spaces available at a discount for those on a low wage.
