SUMMARY:John Bramwell – Live At The Tree House
DESCRIPTION:“There’s a line in the E.E. Cummings poem Somewhere I Have Never Travelled\, Gladly Beyond — ‘No one\, not even the rain\, has such small hands’ — which I once paraphrased to ‘Nothing can wash this away\, not even the rain.’ I’ve always loved that sense of mystery and magic… I’ve never been a realist.” – John Bramwell\, 2026 \nAs the voice of I Am Kloot (1999–2014)\, John Bramwell earned a Mercury Prize nomination for The Sky At Night (2010)\, a Top 10 album with Let It All In (2013)\, and a farewell orchestral show at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall. \nNow pursuing a solo path\, Bramwell continues to tour extensively\, bringing his heartfelt songs and razor-sharp wit to devoted audiences across the UK. \nHis acclaimed 2023 album The Light Fantastic marked a joyful departure from Kloot’s darker tone\, embracing harmonies\, strings\, and uplifting reflections on life and humanity. “These are the most uplifting songs of my career\,” Bramwell says. \nCelebrated for his captivating live performances and warm\, mischievous humour\, Bramwell remains one of the UK’s most distinctive songwriters. In 2025\, God Is In The TV called his Beautiful Days set “the highlight of the weekend.” \nLooking ahead to 2026\, Bramwell embarks on an expansive tour of Ireland and the UK\, continuing his remarkable musical journey. \nPraise for The Light Fantastic\n“Beautiful harmonies.” – CLASH\n“Wonderfully grown-up pop.” – ★★★★ MOJO\n“Hazy\, purposeful\, and very pretty.” – ★★★★ The Times\n“A splendid solo set.” – UNCUT \nPrevious Acclaim\n“A unique voice.” – Lauren Laverne\n“Spellbinding songs.” – The Guardian\n“My favourite songwriter of all time.” – Cate Blanchett\n“The UK’s finest export.” – The New York Times \nPlease note this is an all-standing 18+ event\, and the venue is accessed by stairs with no lift. SUMMARY:Slow Sunday at 42 Acres
DESCRIPTION:Spend a slow Sunday afternoon at 42 Acres and reconnect with nature\, with each other\, and with the elements.\nCome as you are and spend a relaxed Sunday of outdoor vibes. Gather in our forest glade for our signature vegetarian wild dining experience. Your meal will be cooked over an open fire with nourishing ingredients organically-grown and wild-foraged on this land.\nGo for a wild swim in the beaver-filled lake\, and relax in the wood-fired sauna. Or simply take time and space to rest and restore on land that has been allowed to do the same. \nYou’re welcome to do as much or as little as you like:\n– Roam the 173 acres of our land – home to millions of lives.\n– Wild swim in our 7-acre lake or take out our rowboat\, SUP board\, or canoe. (Please note these activities are at your own risk – there is no lifeguard).\n– Look out for beaver\, otter\, wild boar\, hare\, deer and a multitude of birds.\n– Explore our rewilded spaces; woodland mushroom farm; permaculture garden; edible ornamental walled garden; species re-introduction projects; and secret treehouse. Or just chill and chat.\n– Add on a holistic treatment (advance bookings only) \nSlow Sundays run from 11am-4pm on the following dates:\n– Sun 5 Apr 2026 (Easter Sunday)\n– Sun 3 May\n– Sun 28 Jun\n– Sun 19 Jul\n– Sun 30 Aug (Bank holiday weekend)\n– Sun 20 Sep \nFeedback from Past Slow Sundays:\n‘I took some proper time out today. Slow Sundays at 42 Acres Retreat are all about connection – with yourself\, with others\, and with nature.\nWild swimming\, a wood-fired sauna\, woodland walks\, and incredible food grown on the land itself – all shared around a long table in the woods\, with birdsong overhead and an eclectic mix of people from all walks of life. It’s a really well-thought-out setup. Simple\, but intentional. The team were welcoming\, knowledgeable (beavers\, storks\, permaculture\, mushroom farms\, soil-to-gut) and clearly passionate about what they’re building. This was their first Slow Sunday- here’s to many more!’\nLynda\, Slow Sunday Guest\, June 2025. \n‘A group of 6 of us attended 42Acres Slow Sunday and we all throughly enjoyed ourselves. The land is beautiful\, with lots of lovely quiet trails to walk and soak it all up. We even spotted storks\, buzzards and believe we may have accidentally bumped into a wild boar too. The setting for lunch is fabulous. Really cosy atmosphere and delicious food. Some of us even jumped in the lake for a quick swim which was really refreshing.’\nLucy\, Slow Sunday Guest\, August 2025 \n‘Beautiful experience of reconnection to people\, place and soul.’\nSara\, Slow Sunday Guest\, August 2025. \nPlease Note:\n– Must be booked in advance. Please do not come without a ticket because we will not be able to accommodate you.\n– Adults only.\n– Alcohol-free.\n– Please bring swimwear and towels to go in the lake and/or sauna.\n– Please dress for the weather. This experience will go ahead in most weather conditions. If extreme weather prevents us from going ahead\, we will provide an alternative indoor experience on the same date.\n– Spaces are limited\, please book early to avoid disappointment.\n– As much as we love our four-legged friends\, we can not allow dogs on this experience.\n-Subject to availability. \nIf you have any questions\, please feel free to give our friendly team a call on 01373 887642 before booking.\nTerms & Conditions: \nTerms & Conditions – Workshops & Experiences

SUMMARY:EMF
DESCRIPTION:“EMF are a band reborn. The power of their reunion albums\, combined with their obvious camaraderie\, makes their shows something to treasure. As life-affirming live as they are on record\, make sure you catch EMF in person.” – Sonic Abuse\, 2024 \nFormed in 1989 in the quiet town of Cinderford\, EMF burst onto the global stage with their infectious mix of dance\, rock\, and pop. Within a year\, they conquered the charts with “Unbelievable\,” a generation-defining hit. \nTheir debut Schubert Dip (1991) captured their raw\, genre-bending sound\, followed by Stigma (1992) and Cha Cha Cha (1995)\, which delved into darker territory before the band took a break. Along the way\, they released a hit cover of The Monkees’ “I’m a Believer” with comedians Vic and Bob. \nDuring their hiatus\, members pursued new paths — James Atkin went solo and taught music\, Ian Dench became an acclaimed songwriter and executive\, Derry Brownson launched Little Killers\, and Zac Foley joined Carrie. \nA 2001 reunion for The Best of EMF: Epsom Mad Funkers hinted at a full comeback\, but Zac’s sudden passing in 2002 halted plans. Sporadic shows followed\, including a 2012 live video revisiting Schubert Dip and Stigma. \nIn 2020\, EMF truly reignited with the 30th-anniversary box set From Us to You. Renewed inspiration led to Go Go Sapiens (2022) and the acclaimed The Beauty and the Chaos (2024)\, solidifying their modern resurgence. \nIn 2025\, a blue plaque in Cinderford honoured their legacy — a symbol of the pride they bring to the Forest of Dean. Now\, EMF are not just back\, they’re thriving. Still creating\, still touring\, and still charged with the same life-affirming energy that made them unforgettable.

SUMMARY:Rewilding in Action: A Tour of Heal Somerset with Heal Co-Founder Jan Stannard
DESCRIPTION:Come along and learn more about nature-led recovery at Heal’s first rewilding site\, Heal Somerset.\nHeal Somerset began its recovery from its ecologically depleted state at the beginning of 2023 and nature here is already beginning to bounce back. This tour is a unique opportunity to spend time with Heal’s co-founder and acting CEO\, Jan Stannard\, who will take you around part of our beautiful site on mown paths. \nYou will learn more around the wider context of rewilding\, including the reasons we need it and the benefits it brings to nature\, the climate and to our own wellbeing. Jan will talk about the rewilding principles that Heal follows and give you an insight into some of our plans for the land\, particularly the interventions we’re considering and our plans for future livestock introductions. The group will also hear about some of the changes we have seen on the site already\, including the very welcome appearance of wild-living beavers. \nYou will also hopefully experience some of the varied wildlife we have on site\, but even if the creatures are elusive on the day\, we know you will still find the site a beautiful\, peaceful and restorative place to be. \nYour tour will finish with refreshments in our 17th century farmhouse where conversations about rewilding and Heal can continue.

SUMMARY:Skate lessons with Dave Lea
DESCRIPTION:As part of this year’s Skate Jam event with Frome Skatepark Project\, there’s an opportunity to have a skating lesson with an experienced teacher. There are four half hour slots\, divided by age as follows: \n\n10am: Age 6 to 11 years\n10.30am: 6 to 11 years\n11am: 12 to 16 years\n11.30pm: 12 to 16 years\n\nThere is very limited room for walk-ups on the day\, within the age groups listed above\, but pre-booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. \nBring your own skateboard. Please note that helmets and protective equipment are compulsory: if you do not wear them you cannot take part. We will have limited kit to lend on the day.  \nAlthough every care will be taken for your safety\, and there will be a first aider at the event\, all skaters skate at their own risk and will be asked to sign a disclaimer to that effect before taking part.
