DESCRIPTION:Donate IT are back with another tech amnesty on Saturday 31st January\, 10am – 1pm at Frome Town Hall. Come to the car park at the back of the town hall to drop off any old or unused devices\, and Donate IT will wipe all devices before repairing them\, using them for parts\, or recycling them if they are no longer any good. Previous amnesties have seen hundred of devices saved from going in landfill and being given a new lease of life or responsibly recycled. The Donate IT team will be based in the town hall car park\, or will move inside in the case of of bad weather.

DESCRIPTION:We are very excited to be hosting our next Big Clothes Swap on Saturday 31st January from 10am to 1pm. \nHow does it work? All you have to do to revamp your wardrobe is come on down with as many items of clothing as you wish in exchange for tokens. For example 5 items = 5 tokens. You can either bring down your items in the week leading up to the Big Swap (time slots tbc) or when you get to the event itself. \nIf you bring your items in advance entry will be cheaper. Tokens can then be exchanged for items of clothes at the event. \nKeep an eye out for drop off dates.

We’re going to aim for 100+ items! Yes! \nFind your piles of broken clothes – from holey jumpers to a torn shirt – and bring them along to fix them in the lovely company of everyone else getting through their mending pile – an ultra satisfying day saving clothes from the bin. \nPeople from the Everyone Needs Pockets Textile Network will be there fixing their own clothes. We can all help each other\, sharing advice and skills and inspiration. Patch in a way you’d never imagined\, visible and invisible. \nAre you struggling to mend your clothes yourself? Maybe your eyesight or hands make it hard? No problem\, come along and we will do our best to help. In the questions in the ticket link\, let us know your needs. \nNothing to mend? Come and mend for a friend/neighbour. The film celebrates youth leadership and imagines a future shaped by hope\, courage\, and collective action — a perfect companion to the message of Plastic Bones. \nThis follows on from the earlier procession led by Frome Youth Climate Action group\, a dynamic group of young environmental activists aged 12 to 18\, who carried ‘Plastic Bones’ through the town – a handmade globe sculpture created from rubbish collected on local streets along with natural and recycled materials – symbolising the heavy burden of plastic pollution on our planet and the vital role of young people play in holding up its future.

Learn regenerative growing skills whilst actively contributing to our permaculture projects. \nThe day is designed to be an enriching experience working with us on tasks ranging from creating living willow structures to building hugelkultur beds\, from threshing quinoa to sowing and harvesting fruit and veg. There will be an opportunity for meditation\, sharing and nature connection. \nAt 1pm we will end with a simple shared lunch provided by 42 Acres (think nourishing soup and bread).
