DESCRIPTION:Frome Town Hall is showing 2000 Meters to Andriivka on Friday 19th June at 7pm to mark Refugee Week 2026. \nHosted by the Welcome Hub for displaced people\, the evening is open to everyone and aims to bring people together for an evening of film and reflection. \nThe award-winning 2000 Meters to Andriivka explores the human experience of war and its impact on individuals and communities\, offering insight into the realities faced by people affected by conflict and displacement. The screening aims to encourage greater understanding. empathy and connection. \nAfter the screening\, there will be an opportunity for informal discussion for those who would like to stay and share reflections with others. \nTickets for the documentary are available for a suggested donation of £3\, with proceeds supporting Frome Welcome Refugees\, a volunteer-led community group supporting refugees and displaced people through practical help\, friendship\, advocacy and activities that help people feel welcomed and connected in Frome. DESCRIPTION:FLOC is a peer‑led community group\, facilitated by parents and carers of children with SEND who are further down the path\, and who understand what it’s like to feel lost amongst the chaos. Whether you’re feeling lonely\, overwhelmed\, or just want to see what’s out there\, we’re here for everyone raising a child with any additional need\, disability or sensitivity\, at any age or stage\, with or without diagnosis. \nThis meet-up aims to build a growing community through shared experiences where positive wellbeing\, connection\, shared understanding and finding moments of joy come first. We believe that coming together and sharing experiences in an environment where you can be heard\, builds true connections and makes positive change. \nWhy navigate an unknown path alone\, when you could journey together. Find your FLOC. \nThis is an inclusive and supportive environment. All parents and carers are welcome\, so come as you are.\n£5 suggested donation though money is never a barrier.
