Together you will explore how beaver activity and human intervention can complement each other to create healthier habitats\, cleaner water\, and climate-resilient ecosystems. \nAbout Daniel Hill \nAs the Rewilding Ranger at Heal Somerset\, Dan manages the site’s monitoring and land management programs. You can find him surveying for signs of beavers\, co-ordinating volunteer work parties\, or working with partners to deliver the hydrological restoration plan\, amongst a huge variety of other tasks. Dan’s passion for nature was sparked as a child growing up on an organic small holding in rural south Wales watching red kites soar above. His love of rewilding developed through volunteering with the RSPB on the Somerset Levels after completing a degree in Mathematical Sciences.

The day weaves together embodiment\, meditation\, creativity\, and practices that reconnect us with the rhythms of nature. \nThe morning begins with Meditation and Movement with Brij\, followed by breakfast and our Whole Group Circle\, a space to gather\, connect\, and arrive together as a community.\nThe first session of the day offers to choose between Somatic Grounding and Centring with Rui Rodrigues\, Revival of Land-Based Spirituality with Rachel Knight\, and Cyclical Nature: A Playful\, Embodied\, Exploration of Our Cyclicity\, Connection and Remembering as Ourselves as Nature with Support from the Plants with Emma Sampson. \nThe first session is followed by communal lunch and after\, we enter a spacious period of collective rest\, exhale\, integration and being with the land. Another option during this time\, would be joining Rewilding Walk led by the 42 Acres team. \nThe afternoon continues with a choice of immersive experiences\, including Brij McCracken’s Environmental Cultivation: Ways of Discovering Open Presence of Awareness Through Relational Inhabitation and Meditation (Meditation Exploration Space)\, Plant Meditation with Jennifer Gwairocha. A second afternoon session offers a Panel Discussion on Neurodiversity held by Listening to the Land and Vaughan’s Breathwork Session. \nThe day closes with an evening storytelling session led by Michelle Hawkins and A Space for Healing\, Expression and Restoration Through Sound and Vibration with Rebecca Campbell and Nicolette Corcoran. \nThroughout the day\, you’ll have the opportunity to book one-on-one sessions\, including traditional Lithuanian pirtis (sauna) rituals\, hypnotherapy\, somatic bodywork\, massage\, and more.

Through dance\, sound\, and reflective practices\, the day explores the ways we can soften\, connect\, and move with greater presence. \nThe day begins with Daoist Meditation and Yin Movement with Brij and Ezgi Erdal’s integration practice\, followed by breakfast and our Whole Group Circle\, a space to reconnect\, ground\, and move into the day together. \nThe morning session opens with the option of joining Sophie Bolton’s Outdoor Dance session\, an embodied experience inviting participants to connect with movement\, nature\, and the intelligence of the body\, and Nikki Trott’s Sacred Business session\, exploring the relationship between inner alignment and conscious creation. Another option during this time\, would be joining Wild Nutrition Workshop with Christina De Beuklaar \nThe first session is follow by communal lunch and after\, we enter a spacious period of collective rest\, exhale\, integration and being with the land. \nThe afternoon offers a choice between A Sound Journey with Joe and Garwyn\, a sonic exploration supporting deep listening and inner connection\, or Dee Woods’ Tending the River Ceremony\, an invitation to explore the symbolism and wisdom of water through creative and reflective practice. \nThe second afternoon session is Breathwork Session with Vaughan Dagnell. Vaughan is a trauma aware Embodied Resilience Practitioner and Conscious Connected Breathwork Facilitator\, working with somatic experiencing and central nervous system regulation. His work explores a hybrid of cognitive and somatic work to find balance and flow in everyday life. \nThe day will close with a performance by Jennifer Gwairoch – a musician and spiritual practitioner whose work is inspired by years of devotion to the living intelligence of the natural world\, esoteric traditions\, and the path of inner transformation. Through intuitive vocals\, prayer\, and original compositions\, Jennifer create immersive musical experiences that invite deep remembrance\, healing\, and reconnection with the heart. Perhaps when we realise that humans have always been a part of this landscape\, we can see our own problems in a new light. But he’s also an increasingly prominent ecologist and conservationist\, having obtained a Masters in Evolutionary and Behavioural Ecology from the University of Exeter\, and is the president of The Wildlife Trusts. DESCRIPTION:Our hope is that Consider the Wondrous can help us to rethink our place on the planet\, as one remarkable species among so many others. So\, it’s fitting that our final event this year should show something as commonplace as trees in a radically different light. \nIt’s easy to think of trees as noble\, beautiful but ultimately passive presences in the landscape. Harriet Rix’s extraordinary book The Genius of Trees tells a different story. Trees have agency\, modifying and working with the animals\, plants and fungi around them: they manipulate the clouds to produce the climate they like\, they shiver rock into fertile soil\, they change the very atmosphere. \nHarriet Rix has led an extraordinary life – with an education spanning a Biochemistry degree earned at Oxford\, to an MPhil in the History and Philosophy of Science\, specialising in Ottoman Science\, from Cambridge. Her studies led to travel\, and work in IED and landmine clearance in the Middle East. The terrible effects of environmental degradation that she witnessed in Iraq prompted her to join the tree sector\, and in 2018 she returned to the UK to try to learn about the world of trees in this context. \n“This is a story of how tree-ish trees are\, and how… they have woven the world into a place of great beauty and extraordinary variety” Harriet Rix \nJulian Hight is a tree-obsessive\, punk rocker and graphic designer. His new book The Ancient Tree Explorer is a fascinating and sumptuous guide to the most magnificent trees in Britain. They have been busy transforming the landscape in extraordinary ways and they are creating thriving wetlands that support a wealth of wildlife\, improve water quality and increase biodiversity. \nFull disclosure: beavers are often seen from the viewing area\, so there’s a good chance that you’ll see at least one\, but we can’t guarantee it. But even if you don’t\, you will learn lots about them as well as witness their hard work whilst spending valuable time in nature. \nEach beaver watch will be carefully led by experienced wildlife guide Nick Patel. His respectful approach will minimise disturbance as the beavers’ wellbeing is always the priority. We ask that all attendees follow this approach. \nAbout your workshop leader\, Nick Patel: \nNick is a tour guide\, conservationist\, naturalist and birder and is passionate about helping to protect\, create and maintain British wildlife.
