SUMMARY:Little Piccolos
DESCRIPTION:Little Piccolos is a social enterprise with 10 years of experience in delivering high-quality music classes for children. \nEarly years music classes are attended by children aged 3 months – 5 years and their parent or care giver. We offer fun and dynamic classes\, taught by trained musicians\, using the Kodaly approach. Children (and usually parents!) learn about the fundamentals of music: pulse\, pitch\, rhythm and tempo. \nLittle Piccolos’ goal is to develop a musical ear\, foster creativity and collaboration\, and make music accessible to under 5’s\, with the voice as the primary instrument.\nRISE Frome offers the perfect venue for our groups\, accommodating up to 10 children\, to achieve this each week. \nClasses are £6.50 each session\, per child for the duration of the school term.

SUMMARY:John Bramwell – Live At The Tree House
DESCRIPTION:“There’s a line in the E.E. Cummings poem Somewhere I Have Never Travelled\, Gladly Beyond — ‘No one\, not even the rain\, has such small hands’ — which I once paraphrased to ‘Nothing can wash this away\, not even the rain.’ I’ve always loved that sense of mystery and magic… I’ve never been a realist.” – John Bramwell\, 2026 \nAs the voice of I Am Kloot (1999–2014)\, John Bramwell earned a Mercury Prize nomination for The Sky At Night (2010)\, a Top 10 album with Let It All In (2013)\, and a farewell orchestral show at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall. \nNow pursuing a solo path\, Bramwell continues to tour extensively\, bringing his heartfelt songs and razor-sharp wit to devoted audiences across the UK. \nHis acclaimed 2023 album The Light Fantastic marked a joyful departure from Kloot’s darker tone\, embracing harmonies\, strings\, and uplifting reflections on life and humanity. “These are the most uplifting songs of my career\,” Bramwell says. \nCelebrated for his captivating live performances and warm\, mischievous humour\, Bramwell remains one of the UK’s most distinctive songwriters. SUMMARY:EMF
DESCRIPTION:“EMF are a band reborn. The power of their reunion albums\, combined with their obvious camaraderie\, makes their shows something to treasure. As life-affirming live as they are on record\, make sure you catch EMF in person.” – Sonic Abuse\, 2024 \nFormed in 1989 in the quiet town of Cinderford\, EMF burst onto the global stage with their infectious mix of dance\, rock\, and pop. Within a year\, they conquered the charts with “Unbelievable\,” a generation-defining hit. \nTheir debut Schubert Dip (1991) captured their raw\, genre-bending sound\, followed by Stigma (1992) and Cha Cha Cha (1995)\, which delved into darker territory before the band took a break. Along the way\, they released a hit cover of The Monkees’ “I’m a Believer” with comedians Vic and Bob. \nDuring their hiatus\, members pursued new paths — James Atkin went solo and taught music\, Ian Dench became an acclaimed songwriter and executive\, Derry Brownson launched Little Killers\, and Zac Foley joined Carrie. \nA 2001 reunion for The Best of EMF: Epsom Mad Funkers hinted at a full comeback\, but Zac’s sudden passing in 2002 halted plans. Sporadic shows followed\, including a 2012 live video revisiting Schubert Dip and Stigma. \nIn 2020\, EMF truly reignited with the 30th-anniversary box set From Us to You. Renewed inspiration led to Go Go Sapiens (2022) and the acclaimed The Beauty and the Chaos (2024)\, solidifying their modern resurgence. \nIn 2025\, a blue plaque in Cinderford honoured their legacy — a symbol of the pride they bring to the Forest of Dean. Now\, EMF are not just back\, they’re thriving. Still creating\, still touring\, and still charged with the same life-affirming energy that made them unforgettable.
