DESCRIPTION:Little Piccolos is a social enterprise with 10 years of experience in delivering high-quality music classes for children. \nEarly years music classes are attended by children aged 3 months – 5 years and their parent or care giver. We offer fun and dynamic classes\, taught by trained musicians\, using the Kodaly approach. Children (and usually parents!) learn about the fundamentals of music: pulse\, pitch\, rhythm and tempo. \nLittle Piccolos’ goal is to develop a musical ear\, foster creativity and collaboration\, and make music accessible to under 5’s\, with the voice as the primary instrument.\nRISE Frome offers the perfect venue for our groups\, accommodating up to 10 children\, to achieve this each week. \nClasses are £6.50 each session\, per child for the duration of the school term.

SUMMARY:Los Pacaminos ft. Paul Young
DESCRIPTION:Los Pacaminos is a Tex-Mex band that was formed by pop star Paul Young in 1992 during a break in his music career. The band originally consisted of six members\, including guitarist Jamie Moses\, accordion/keyboard player Matt Irving\, songwriter Drew Barfield\, bassist Steve Greetham\, and drummer Mark Pinder. They played their first gig at a local pub in Richmond in November of that year and continued to perform together\, growing tighter as friends and musicians with each show. \nAlthough the band was formed as a side project\, they started writing their own songs and it became clear that this was not going to be a short-term venture. In 1997\, pedal steel player Melvin Duffy was added to the lineup after a suggestion from Jamie\, and he quickly became a permanent member of the band. \nIn 2002\, Los Pacaminos released their first album\, which was a collection of 12 original songs that drew inspiration from their Tex-Mex influences\, including the Texas Tornados\, The Sir Douglas Quintet\, Flaco Jimenez\, as well as Ry Cooder\, Calexico\, Roy Orbison\, The Band and Chuck Berry. The album received positive reviews and helped to establish the band’s reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the Tex-Mex music scene. \nOver the years\, Los Pacaminos has faced some challenges\, including the loss of founder member Matt Irving to cancer in 2015. However\, the band continues to thrive and explore the music of the Southwest. Now together for over 30 years and with an unmatched live reputation\, as well as two acclaimed studio albums and two live albums to their name\, they are releasing their 3rd studio album of original songs. Los Pacaminos show nosigns of stopping anytime soon.

They crashed punk rock headlong into Irish Folk\, lyrically ignited by singer/songwriter Shane MacGowan’s brutal yet romantic observations on life at the dog end of the Thatcher revolution. Full of spirit\, in both senses of the word\, there was simply no other band like them. \nWith a full line-up and the pick of the songs from five studio albums\, The Phogues pay tribute to the greatest Irish band that Ireland never produced. Like the original\, the eight members of the Phogues come from all over the place. Also like the Pogues\, some have Irish heritage; others don’t. What unites them is supreme musical skill and a desire to honour Shane’s songs and the band that gave them to the world. \nThe Phogues have live experience ranging from Somerset’s famous cider pubs to the internationally famous Sidmouth Folk Festival. DESCRIPTION:The Emerald Dawn are a multi-instrumentalist\, symphonic art-rock quartet known for their cinematic\, atmospheric\, and emotionally powerful sound. Blending elements of rock\, classical music\, jazz\, folk\, and world music\, the band creates richly textured compositions that are both epic and intimate\, experimental yet deeply melodic. Their music often feels like a soundtrack—painting vivid images\, telling stories\, and taking listeners on immersive musical journeys. \nOriginally formed in Edinburgh in 2010 as a duo by Tree Stewart (keyboards\, flute\, 12-string acoustic guitar\, Roli Seaboard\, HandSonic\, vocals) and Ally Carter (guitar\, saxophones\, keyboards)\, the band relocated to St Ives\, Cornwall in 2011 and expanded their line-up with drummer Tom Jackson. The current incarnation was completed in 2018 with the addition of David Greenaway on basses\, bringing further depth and dynamic range to the band’s sound. \nThe Emerald Dawn have built a strong reputation on the live circuit\, performing extensively across the UK\, headlining multiple festivals\, and appearing at the prestigious ArtRock Festival in Germany. Their performances are celebrated for their intensity\, musicianship\, and immersive atmosphere. \nTo date\, the band have released six critically acclaimed studio albums and received numerous awards\, establishing themselves as a significant force in modern UK progressive and art rock. Their latest release\, The Land\, the Sea\, the Air (Volume I)\, launched to widespread acclaim in October. The album forms the first part of a double concept project exploring environmental themes\, with Volume II planned for release in spring 2026. \nWidely praised by critics as one of the UK’s most exciting progressive rock acts\, The Emerald Dawn continue to push creative boundaries while delivering music that is haunting\, beautiful\, and unforgettable. \nPlease note this is an 18+ all standing event\, and the venue is accessed by stairs with no lift.
