Children (and usually parents!) learn about the fundamentals of music: pulse\, pitch\, rhythm and tempo. \nLittle Piccolos’ goal is to develop a musical ear\, foster creativity and collaboration\, and make music accessible to under 5’s\, with the voice as the primary instrument.\nRISE Frome offers the perfect venue for our groups\, accommodating up to 10 children\, to achieve this each week. \nClasses are £6.50 each session\, per child for the duration of the school term.

Known for blending punk rock\, hardcore\, and funk influences\, featured Lynn Strait as the charismatic lead vocalist\, along with the lead guitarist Mikey Doling\, bassist John Fahnestock\, drummer Jamie Miller\, and later\, Sonny Mayo on guitar. SNOT brought an edgy\, high-energy sound to the late ’90s music scene. The first full-length album\, Get Some\, released in 1997\, became iconic for its aggressive sound and Strait’s raw\, confrontational lyrics. The album received praise for its energy and distinctive fusion of punk and metal elements\, positioning SNOT as part of the emerging nu-metal scene\, alongside bands like Korn and Limp Bizkit\, with whom they often shared the stage. Unfortunately\, the band’s career was cut short in 1998 when Lynn Strait tragically died in a car accident\, along with his dog\, Dobbs\, who was featured on the cover of Get Some. \nFollowing Strait’s death\, the band dissolved\, but SNOT’s impact continued\, and SNOT developed a devoted cult following. Released at the time into a landscape soon to become dominated by ten-a-penny guitar bands\, with A Certain Trigger Maxïmo Park were the bookish\, livewire outsiders\, bursting with punk power\, pop sensibility and literary smarts. \nEven their signing to Warp records – a label predominantly known for its experimental and electronic roster at the time – suggested a band with its eyes set beyond the horizon. Almost immediately\, and certainly in the time since its release\, A Certain Trigger has installed itself as a scene staple\, and a curiosity of the 00s that packs as much power today as it did 20 years ago. \nLead singer Paul Smith says “Not many bands make it to a twentieth year together so we’re having a big celebration\, with a special 20th anniversary tour and by giving a fresh perspective to A Certain Trigger. DESCRIPTION:Little Piccolos is a social enterprise with 10 years of experience in delivering high-quality music classes for children. \nEarly years music classes are attended by children aged 3 months – 5 years and their parent or care giver. We offer fun and dynamic classes\, taught by trained musicians\, using the Kodaly approach. Children (and usually parents!) learn about the fundamentals of music: pulse\, pitch\, rhythm and tempo. \nLittle Piccolos’ goal is to develop a musical ear\, foster creativity and collaboration\, and make music accessible to under 5’s\, with the voice as the primary instrument.\nRISE Frome offers the perfect venue for our groups\, accommodating up to 10 children\, to achieve this each week. \nClasses are £6.50 each session\, per child for the duration of the school term.
