DESCRIPTION:High-energy\, punk rock powerhouses Punk Rock Factory are heading to Frome this October! Formed in 2014 Peej (vocals\, guitar)\, Benj (bass\, vocals)\, Ryan (guitar) and Kob (drums\, vocals)\, were drawn together for their love of great music. The band quickly began to combine everything we all love about 1990s/2000s punk rock with classic and hit songs like you’ve never heard before. From the epic-ness of Meat Loaf to the soaring power of a Disney ballad\, nothing is off limits to them. \nPunk Rock Factory rehearse\, write\, record\, mix\, and film everything themselves in their studio called ‘The Sausage Factory’ with a heavy focus on digital content. With an online following of almost a million fans spread across the world’s most popular social media platforms (TikTok making up a huge 500k of those) they show no signs of slowing down. They frequently bring friends along to their music to enjoy the fun and to date the band has had guest performances from members of acts such as Protest the Hero\, Bowling for Soup\, Ice Nine Kills\, Mest\, Rufio\, Ten Foot Pole\, Zebrahead aswell as Encanto star Jessica Darrow and many more. \nShortly after the success of their first album ‘The Wurst Is Yet To Come’ the band got to work on their second album ‘A Whole New Wurst’ in 2020 throughout UK lockdown. Consisting entirely of Disney classics with their unique punk rock twist it became an instant success. In only two months the album gained over 2.4 million streams and reached #48 in the UK album download charts. \nNow with four albums\, their first ever live show (a festival appearance at Bloodstock Open Air to a capacity crowd of 7000 people) under their belts\, PRF set out on their first UK tour. Selling out many of the shows including venues in London\, Cardiff\, Manchester and Birmingham\, they brought their passion and party spirit right to the stage\, garnering rave reviews of their live performances and showmanship from all over the country. Now comfortably sitting at over 15 million streams on Spotify alone and 40 million views on TikTok\, it’s quite safe to say Punk Rock Factory have arrived and are here to stay. \nIn 2025 Kob left the band to pursue other endeavours. The remaining members continue to release music\, tour the world\, and bring people together through nostalgia\, a love for music and popular culture. We reclaim Frome’s high street once a month to showcase the best independent craftspeople\, designers\, makers\, food producers and vintage traders in the South West. \nThe market takes place on the first Sunday of the month from March to December and strives to be ‘more than a market’\, incorporating live music\, DJs\, street performance\, workshops and activities for children and adults alike on market days. \nThe market is a free event for visitors and has quickly grown to be one of the most significant elements in the region’s calendar attracting over 80\,000 visitors each year. \nVisitors to the market can find contemporary craft\, designer-made homewares\, ethical clothing and jewellery in our Designer-Maker section\, discover fledgling design start-ups in our Suitcase Sale\, have a rummage through vintage nostalgia in our Flea Market or browse indoor plants\, gardenalia and homewares in our Homes & Gardens section. Food lovers can discover local produce from cheese and cider to vegan cakes and kimchi. We work with Somerset Farmers Markets who curate a section for farmers\, growers and producers. There’s also a huge and vibrant range of street food to choose from.

A song inherited by Fiachna describing the blow inflicted upon a community and a family due to drowning. DESCRIPTION:Two era defining artists SKIDS & THEATRE OF HATE come together this autumn for an explosive UK co-headline tour. \nSKIDS: \nThe Skids formed in 1977 in their hometown of Dunfermline\, Scotland by Richard Jobson\, Stuart Adamson\, Bill Simpson & Tom Kellichan. After releasing an independent single the band was played by John Peel\, supported The Clash in concert and then were signed to Virgin Records in 1978. Their first singles were “Sweet Surburbia”\, “The Saints are Coming” and “Into the Valley” – the latter reaching the UK Top Ten in early 1979. \nTheir seminal debut album “Scared to Dance” came out in 1979 which was quickly followed by two chart singles – “Masquerade” and “Working for the Yankee Dollar”. Both singles were taken from the Bill Nelson produced second album “Days in Europa”. The album also featured new member Rusty Egan of Rich Kids & Visage fame after the departure of Tom Kellichan. The band released two more albums “The Absolute Game” (1980) and “Joy” (1981) before splitting. \nThe current Skids line up sees the lineup stripped back to an explosive 4 piece with Richard Jobson\, Peter Byrchmore (Membranes)\, Hernandez (Drums) & Connor Whyte (Guitar). \nTHEATRE OF HATE: \nIn 1980\, Kirk Brandon formed THEATRE OF HATE from the ashes of heralded punk band The Pack. Joining Kirk on vocals were notable punk musicians Stan Stammers and Luke Rendall\, along with old school friend\, Steve Guthrie and Canadian born John “Boy” Lennard\, who revolutionised the band’s sound with his haunting sax lines. \nTheatre Of Hate’s debut double-A-side single\, “Legion”/”Original Sin”\, topped the independent chart in 1980\, and “Westworld”\, their debut album\, produced by Mick Jones from The Clash and released in 1982\, held the number one position for 21 weeks. The single taken from the album\, “Do You Believe In The West- world?” has become an anthem and is still widely played in clubs and on international radio\, as well as featuring on numerous compilation albums. \nTheatre Of Hate imploded in 1982\, with Kirk taking Stan forward to form Spear Of Destiny\, but the band has resurfaced over the years to play some very special shows across the UK\, Europe and the USA. The band now have a settled line up of Kirk Brandon\, Stan Stammers\, Chris Bell & Clive Osborne who astound their loyal fanbase with high-octane live shows featuring new songs and classics from their back catalogue.

DESCRIPTION:Hear this y’all: \nLegend has it the original Wilbury brothers from Nashville\, Tennessee\, were plying their trade as a good ol’ Country band one night in Tootsie’s Bar\, when who should walk in but George Harrison from The Beatles and his old pal JeD Lynne outta the ELO. After a few beers\, George and JeD decided they loved the Wilbury boys and called up some of their friends\, inviting them downtown to hear for themselves. Those friends turned out to be Roy Orbison\, that Tom Petty out of the Heartbreakers\, and Bobby Dylan himself. \nThe story goes that\, after the show\, the famous five wanted to hang out with the shy and retiring Unravelling Wilburys.  They all got pretty drunk\, and it seemed like the Wilbury brothers had got their big break when Tom Petty allegedly said they should all work together. \nSix months went by and the Wilburys heard nothing. Then one day they was passing a record store and heard one of their own songs playing on the hi- fi. “Who’s this playing our song?” they said to the guy behind the counter. “Why\, it’s a new supergroup\,” the guy replied. “They call themselves The Traveling Wilburys.” \nYes folks\, it seems the Traveling Wilburys became a tribute band to our home-spun originals. \nWell\, a few years and more passed and finally the Unravelling Wilburys decided to ‘reclaim’ those songs\, putting together a set of all the hits and the best stuD Dylan\, Petty\, Orbison\, Lynne and Harrison could muster between ’em. Then they headed for the UK. The folks there ain’t got much of a clue about Country music and took to ’em straight away. \nPretty soon they was travelling all over the country\, from the Orkney Islands to the Isle of Wight; from Penzance to Perth; from Southwold to South Wales; packing out theatres along the way in towns whose names they’d never heard of and couldn’t pronounce. \nThe show features the best of the Wilbury albums (“Handle with Care”; “The End of the Line”; “The Devil’s Been Busy”; “Tweeter & The Monkey Man” etc.) and some of their supposedly thievin’ counterparts’ numbers like “Only the Lonely”; Won’t Back Down”; “While my Guitar Gently Weeps”; “Like a Rollin’ Stone” and “Mr. Blue Sky”. The act even contains the kind of comedy only a band spending too many nights in Travelodge hotels could dream up. \nThe Unravelling Wilburys are now so popular they even got to be a question on that TV show “The Chase”. Now that’s fame…even if it ain’t fortune. \nSo- Ladies and Gentlemen\, turn on your hearing aid\, put your Zimmer frame to one side and prepare for a musical journey with Walter\, Blind Melon\, Sticky Willy\, Thumper and the Reverend Honky Tonk Wilbury. It’s a journey you ain’t gonna forget in a hurry.

A late Saturday afternoon interlude in the liminal space between day and evening. True down time\, in a beautiful church\, to do nothing but enjoy exquisite modern jazz and delicious cakes. \nTickets are not necessary and entry is free.
