SUMMARY:Village Boys: A Long-Term Mentoring Group
DESCRIPTION:Village Boys is a new weekly mentoring group at The Village Frome for boys aged 8–12. \nLed by Luke and Rob\, the group offers boys the chance to spend regular time with trusted male mentors\, build strong relationships and become part of a community where they are known\, needed and trusted. \nDays are rooted in the land and shaped around practical skills\, real responsibility\, adventure and contribution. The boys will build and make\, use tools\, cook over fire\, grow food\, explore the woods\, care for the land and take on real jobs that matter. \nAs the group develops there will also be adventures\, expeditions and rites of passage\, with the intention that this becomes something the boys grow with over time rather than simply another weekly activity. \nAt the heart of Village Boys is the opportunity for boys to experience healthy masculinity through relationship: spending time alongside good men and seeing how they work\, listen\, lead\, care and contribute. \nThursdays\, 10am–3pm\, term time \nAges 8–12\n£40 per session \nStarting September at The Village\, Frome. \nTo register your interest\, email villagefrome@gmail.com or visit thevillagefrome.co.uk.

We’re restoring ecosystems and discovering that\, as we heal the land\, we heal ourselves too. Gather around the fire\, an elemental ritual as old as time. A welcome drink of mulled apple juice lands you in this time and place\, these apples were grown just a few steps away. We’ll host a fireside experience designed to bring your team into deeper connection. \n11am: Choose your Wild Experience for your team\, designed to cultivate a deeper sense of belonging\, both with each other and with the natural world. \nWild Winter Crafting: Settle beside a roaring fire and work with natural materials from the land\, slowing down and making something together* \nFuture Orchard Grafting: Learn the ancient art of grafting and help create an apple orchard\, an environmental contribution has a life well beyond the day itself* \n1pm: Gather around a long\, shared table for Wild Winter Lunch\, served family-style and rooted in the land around you. \n3pm: Head home feeling nourished and connected. \n£95 per person \n—\n*Future Orchard Grafting \nLearn the ancient skill of grafting as your team creates a fledgling apple orchard. Take cuttings from our existing apple trees and graft them onto rootstock\, creating dozens of young fruit trees. \nThis hands-on experience builds practical skills\, encourages collaboration\, and connects to food resilience. These trees will continue to grow\, creating a living legacy for your team. \nWe invite you to name the orchard\, adding it to our map and official records. No experience necessary – the simple meditations will be guided\, you can sit in a chair\, bring along a cushion or a yoga mat (and a blanket!) if you’d prefer to lie down and fully rest. \nThere’s the option for a little gentle movement after the relaxation\, so you can land back in the room before we come back to circle and there’s the chance to chat and share your experience and reflect on your pregnancy. \nAdvance booking recommended\, and it’s a pay-what-you-feel workshop.
