SUMMARY:Spring Reading Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Join us this spring for our first reading retreat in the gorgeous setting of Vallis Farm in Somerset. \nThis isn’t a traditional retreat full of activities\, but rather a morning simply spent with other book lovers reading together. Slow down\, take a moment with a book you love and enjoy a morning with other people who can’t imagine a better way to spend a couple of hours. \nWhether you come on your own or with a friend\, you’ll leave with a sense of relaxation that can only come from a few hours offline\, outside and with others who are similarly losing themselves in imaginary worlds. \nThis reading retreat offers: \n– A digital detox (your phone stays in your pocket or bag) \n– A chance to read uninterrupted\, in a cosy setting \n– A way to be with others\, to get out of the house and take a break from work \n– A moment to rest if you’re feeling burnt out\, stressed or overwhelmed \nWhat to bring: \n– A book (or two) you’d love to read \n– Something to sit on (a cushion\, blanket\, or folding chair) \n– Weather-appropriate clothing (if its rainy we’ll get cosy in the farmhouse\, if the sun is shining\, we’ll spread out across the farm) \nWe’ll take care of the rest — including a few small\, thoughtful touches to make the morning feel quietly magical. \nReading isn’t just one of our favourite ways to spend time. It’s also proven to: \n– Lower stress levels and heart rate \n– Improve attention span and memory \n– Enhance empathy and emotional resilience \n– Offer our brains a deep\, restorative form of rest \nWhen we read in community\, we also experience the benefits of shared presence\, which also supports our mental wellbeing. \nThis event is part of our wider mission at If Lost Start Here to help people better connect\, with themselves\, others and the world around them. \nReady to book your place? Reserve Your Spot Now \nThis event takes place on Vallis Farm’s Community Day. If you’re a member\, you can get access to the sauna and natural swimming pool. 10% discount for members. \nYou can also become a Member and take advantage of these benefits here. \nWe want this to be accessible. If price is a barrier\, get in touch — we’ll always try to make space

SUMMARY:Mojo Moves Memorial
DESCRIPTION:Prompted by regular Mojo Mover Jayne James’ recent appearance on The Repair Shop\, and\, as part of the wider Frome Connects project\, this special session will have a playlist shaped by songs that remind us of people we love and miss.\nJayne appeared on the BBC1 show with her childhood teddy bear – a small companion with an extraordinary story.\nThe bear was originally given to her mum\, Betty\, a nurse at St Martin’s Hospital in Bath\, in 1960 by Hollywood songwriter Sharon Sheeley\, shortly after she survived the car crash that tragically killed her boyfriend\, rock ’n’ roll legend Eddie Cochran.\nAt the time\, Betty was pregnant\, and the bear was passed on to baby Jayne\, becoming a lifelong companion.\nJayne lost her mum last year\, and her story led us to think about how powerfully music can hold memories. Our initial idea was to create a rock ’n’ roll special featuring the music of Eddie Cochran\, but we decided instead to open it up – inviting all participants to share songs that hold personal meaning.\nYou’re very welcome to send in a song – just please do so at least one week in advance\, as we’ll be choreographing any new tracks ahead of time.\nThere will still be all the usual Mojo Moves energy\, warmth and connection – just with an added layer of meaning.\nProceeds will go to a charity of Jayne’s choice.

SUMMARY:FLOC community group: Support for parents and carers of children with SEND
DESCRIPTION:FLOC is a peer‑led community group\, facilitated by parents and carers of children with SEND who are further down the path\, and who understand what it’s like to feel lost amongst the chaos. Whether you’re feeling lonely\, overwhelmed\, or just want to see what’s out there\, we’re here for everyone raising a child with any additional need\, disability or sensitivity\, at any age or stage\, with or without diagnosis. \nThis meet-up aims to build a growing community through shared experiences where positive wellbeing\, connection\, shared understanding and finding moments of joy come first. We believe that coming together and sharing experiences in an environment where you can be heard\, builds true connections and makes positive change. \nWhy navigate an unknown path alone\, when you could journey together. Find your FLOC. \nThis is an inclusive and supportive environment. All parents and carers are welcome\, so come as you are.\n£5 suggested donation though money is never a barrier.

SUMMARY:Slow Sunday at 42 Acres
DESCRIPTION:Spend a slow Sunday afternoon at 42 Acres and reconnect with nature\, with each other\, and with the elements.\nCome as you are and spend a relaxed Sunday of outdoor vibes. Gather in our forest glade for our signature vegetarian wild dining experience. Your meal will be cooked over an open fire with nourishing ingredients organically-grown and wild-foraged on this land.\nGo for a wild swim in the beaver-filled lake\, and relax in the wood-fired sauna. Or simply take time and space to rest and restore on land that has been allowed to do the same. \nYou’re welcome to do as much or as little as you like:\n– Roam the 173 acres of our land – home to millions of lives.\n– Wild swim in our 7-acre lake or take out our rowboat\, SUP board\, or canoe. (Please note these activities are at your own risk – there is no lifeguard).\n– Look out for beaver\, otter\, wild boar\, hare\, deer and a multitude of birds.\n– Explore our rewilded spaces; woodland mushroom farm; permaculture garden; edible ornamental walled garden; species re-introduction projects; and secret treehouse. Or just chill and chat.\n– Add on a holistic treatment (advance bookings only) \nSlow Sundays run from 11am-4pm on the following dates:\n– Sun 5 Apr 2026 (Easter Sunday)\n– Sun 3 May\n– Sun 28 Jun\n– Sun 19 Jul\n– Sun 30 Aug (Bank holiday weekend)\n– Sun 20 Sep \nFeedback from Past Slow Sundays:\n‘I took some proper time out today. Slow Sundays at 42 Acres Retreat are all about connection – with yourself\, with others\, and with nature.\nWild swimming\, a wood-fired sauna\, woodland walks\, and incredible food grown on the land itself – all shared around a long table in the woods\, with birdsong overhead and an eclectic mix of people from all walks of life. It’s a really well-thought-out setup. Simple\, but intentional. The team were welcoming\, knowledgeable (beavers\, storks\, permaculture\, mushroom farms\, soil-to-gut) and clearly passionate about what they’re building. This was their first Slow Sunday- here’s to many more!’\nLynda\, Slow Sunday Guest\, June 2025. \n‘A group of 6 of us attended 42Acres Slow Sunday and we all throughly enjoyed ourselves. The land is beautiful\, with lots of lovely quiet trails to walk and soak it all up. We even spotted storks\, buzzards and believe we may have accidentally bumped into a wild boar too. The setting for lunch is fabulous. Really cosy atmosphere and delicious food. Some of us even jumped in the lake for a quick swim which was really refreshing.’\nLucy\, Slow Sunday Guest\, August 2025 \n‘Beautiful experience of reconnection to people\, place and soul.’\nSara\, Slow Sunday Guest\, August 2025. \nPlease Note:\n– Must be booked in advance. Please do not come without a ticket because we will not be able to accommodate you.\n– Adults only.\n– Alcohol-free.\n– Please bring swimwear and towels to go in the lake and/or sauna.\n– Please dress for the weather. SUMMARY:Wild Circle
DESCRIPTION:Wild Circle is a women’s group in nature -women sharing honest conversation around a fire\, in a beautiful garden setting.\nNo pressure or expectation\, just a warm welcome and a gentle invitation to take a pause from everyday life and create a little breathing space. \n“Tara made me feel very welcome and relaxed\, I felt completely at ease. I would highly recommend.” -Jo- \n“It was just what I wanted\, a real ‘firebreak’ in a busy life. Thank you for allowing us to develop what we did in our own way\, whilst gently guiding and holding the session. I think the choice to stay in the ’embrace’ of the wooden structure worked well\, and I found the time by the fire warming in body and spirit. And great cake too.” -Beverly- \nFridays 10am – 11:30am\, monthly at Vallis Farm

This experience will go ahead in most weather conditions. If extreme weather prevents us from going ahead\, we will provide an alternative indoor experience on the same date.\n– Spaces are limited\, please book early to avoid disappointment.\n– As much as we love our four-legged friends\, we can not allow dogs on this experience.\n-Subject to availability. \nIf you have any questions\, please feel free to give our friendly team a call on 01373 887642 before booking.\nTerms & Conditions: \nTerms & Conditions – Workshops & Experiences
