DESCRIPTION:An invitation to spend a half-day working with our team in our permaculture produce garden. Learn regenerative growing skills whilst actively contributing to our permaculture projects. \nThe day is designed to be an enriching experience working with us on tasks ranging from creating living willow structures to building hugelkultur beds\, from threshing quinoa to sowing and harvesting fruit and veg. There will be an opportunity for meditation\, sharing and nature connection. \nAt 1pm we will end with a simple shared lunch provided by 42 Acres (think nourishing soup and bread). Afterwards\, you’re welcome to stay and explore our land or take a wild dip in our lake. \nPlease Note: \n-These sessions run on the 1st Wed of every month\, Apr-Sep.\n-Booking opens 30 days in advance. DESCRIPTION:The fourth annual Weylands Wassail is set to take place on Sunday 8th February from 1:30pm to 3:30pm\, in the community orchard at Weylands. From 1:30pm onwards\, a ‘village green’ event will offer family-friendly craft activities\, making willow crowns and wassail sticks. Hot mulled cider and apple juice will ward off the cold. The wassail ceremony will start at 2:30pm\, led by performers Annabelle Macfadyen and Simon Blakeman and everyone will be invited to join them in making noise to ‘wake the orchard’ and ‘toast the trees’ (full instructions provided). Frome Street Bandits will round off the day with a rousing musical performance until 3:30pm.
