DESCRIPTION:The legendary indie disco club night Baggy Mondays has announced a special one-off show at Frome’s Cheese & Grain on Friday 26 June 2026\, on what would’ve been Glastonbury Festival weekend. \nFounded in 2002 at London’s iconic Heavenly Social (where it’s the longest-running night)\, Baggy Mondays quickly became one of the capital’s most celebrated nights\, with members of Kasabian and Kings of Leon joining the up-for-it crowds. \nBaggy Mondays has since become a Glastonbury Festival institution\, packing the Stonebridge Bar in The Park on the Thursday of every festival since 2007 with its riotous\, festival-igniting mix of indie\, rock and dance classics from the likes of the Stone Roses\, Oasis\, the Prodigy\, Arctic Monkeys\, Blur\, Fatboy Slim\, Pulp and Nirvana. DESCRIPTION:Come along and learn more about nature-led recovery at Heal’s first rewilding site\, Heal Somerset.\nHeal Somerset began its recovery from its ecologically depleted state at the beginning of 2023 and nature here is already beginning to bounce back. This tour is a unique opportunity to spend time with Heal’s co-founder and acting CEO\, Jan Stannard\, who will take you around part of our beautiful site on mown paths. \nYou will learn more around the wider context of rewilding\, including the reasons we need it and the benefits it brings to nature\, the climate and to our own wellbeing. Jan will talk about the rewilding principles that Heal follows and give you an insight into some of our plans for the land\, particularly the interventions we’re considering and our plans for future livestock introductions. The group will also hear about some of the changes we have seen on the site already\, including the very welcome appearance of wild-living beavers. \nYou will also hopefully experience some of the varied wildlife we have on site\, but even if the creatures are elusive on the day\, we know you will still find the site a beautiful\, peaceful and restorative place to be. \nYour tour will finish with refreshments in our 17th century farmhouse where conversations about rewilding and Heal can continue.

Gather in our forest glade for our signature vegetarian wild dining experience. Your meal will be cooked over an open fire with nourishing ingredients organically-grown and wild-foraged on this land.\nGo for a wild swim in the beaver-filled lake\, and relax in the wood-fired sauna. Or simply take time and space to rest and restore on land that has been allowed to do the same. \nYou’re welcome to do as much or as little as you like:\n– Roam the 173 acres of our land – home to millions of lives.\n– Wild swim in our 7-acre lake or take out our rowboat\, SUP board\, or canoe. (Please note these activities are at your own risk – there is no lifeguard).\n– Look out for beaver\, otter\, wild boar\, hare\, deer and a multitude of birds.\n– Explore our rewilded spaces; woodland mushroom farm; permaculture garden; edible ornamental walled garden; species re-introduction projects; and secret treehouse. There will be an opportunity for meditation\, sharing and nature connection. \nAt 1pm we will end with a simple shared lunch provided by 42 Acres (think nourishing soup and bread). Afterwards\, you’re welcome to stay and explore our land or take a wild dip in our lake. \nPlease Note: \n-These sessions run on the 1st Wed of every month\, Apr-Sep.\n-Booking opens 30 days in advance. DESCRIPTION:Highly influential post-punk/indie band\, The Monochrome Set are to play in Frome\, at the Tree House. Loved by artists such as The Smiths\, Franz Ferdinand and Blur and covered by such diverse acts as Iggy Pop and Tracey Thorn\, this is a unique opportunity to see this legendary act at a small venue in Frome. \nThe band features original Monochrome Set members Bid (guitar/vocals) and Andy Warren (bass) with Athen Ayren on keyboards and Stephen Gilchrist on drums. \nThe Monochrome Set formed in 1978\, and were heavily influential in the post-punk scene that evolved after the initial scorched earth of punk. \nThe band’s early releases were on the legendary Rough Trade Label before signing with Virgin offshoot Din Disc. They also released several albums on the Cherry Red label\, making a notable appearance on that labels’ well known “Pillows and Prayers” compilation.\nThough The Monochrome Set split in 1985 the next decade saw several reunions for both live gigs and further studio recordings. After a hiatus of over a decade the band reformed full time in 2010 and have since toured all over the UK\, Europe\, Japan and the USA\, whilst also releasing eight new\, critically acclaimed\, studio albums. \nNow in their 48th year\, they are beginning a new series of gigs promoting their latest album and playing songs old and new. \nCo-founder and ever-present member of Yeovil-based indie pop band The Chesterfields\, Simon Chesterfield returns with a new pop band and new pop music. A seven inch single will be released by Spinout Nuggets in December. \nSimon Chesterfield’s eponymous debut album was released by German label Legere Recordings in October 2024\, a 10 inch vinyl album featuring six of Simon’s compositions reimagined as an orchestral performance.
