Fighter pilot Jack Absolute attempts to rekindle his romance with wealthy Flying Auxiliary Lydia Languish\, but she has decided a working-class northerner in the form of mechanic Dudley Scunthorpe is for her (but he has the hots for the maid\, Lucy). \nTwo other pilots (a demented poet and a crazy Australian) are suitors for Lydia\, so Jack resorts to desperately comic measures to convince Lydia that he is the best man. General Absolute\, his father\, has his own agenda for Lydia\, who is the ward of Mrs Malaprop\, who owns Malaprop Hall\, requisitioned by the RAF as the fighter base. The result is farcical mayhem of the funniest kind. \nThis is an amateur performance.

DESCRIPTION:James Walsh\, lead singer of the critically acclaimed\, multi-million-selling indie band Starsailor\, steps away from his busy schedule to perform an exclusive\, limited-capacity show in Frome this April. \nStarsailor recently released their highly rated new album Where the Wild Things Grow  their first studio record in six years\, and have a packed summer festival schedule ahead\, along with a UK autumn tour. \nFor this special event\, James Walsh will perform stripped-back solo acoustic renditions of songs from Starsailor’s extensive back catalogue\, alongside material from his much-heralded solo project. \nPlease note this is an 18+ all standing event\, and the venue is accessed by stairs with no lift. Expect generous plates\, vibrant flavours and a warm\, relaxed atmosphere.
