DESCRIPTION:As part of the wider “Frome Connects” project in May\, Mojo Moves founder Ginny Adams is hosting a free to attend Kate Bush Flash Mob on the town’s famous Catherine Hill. \nDress up as the legend that is Bush (in the Running Up That Hill video) and join us for an impromptu dance on the hill to the track “Running Up That Hill”.\nYou can come as you are and just do your own thing or learn the simple choreography which will be offered at live rehearsals throughout May\, as well as being available on video via the Facebook event and on the Mojo Moves website. No actual running required. \nAfter the track has played once through\, we will head down the hill along Palmer Street and to the entrance of the formidable St John’s Church where head bell ringer Tony Hodges will lead his fellow campanologists in ringing out the tune – which has seen a resurgence due to cult TV show Stranger Things – on the bells which date back to the 17th and 18th Centuries! Ding dong! \nCome and join us and be a part of something legendary. \nFrome Connects is a town-wide\, people-powered experiment built around connectedness.

DESCRIPTION:Danceworks are running two K Pop Demon Hunters themed musical theatre workshops on Friday 29th May. Children will have the opportunity to learn songs and dance movements to the music from K Pop Demon Hunters. \n\n9:30am – 12:30pm: children reception age and over\n1pm – 2:30pm: children aged 3 – 6 years\nChildren that fall into both age categories can attend both workshops as they will be covering different songs. They can bring a packed lunch and stay from 9:30am – 2:30pm.\n\nThey must bring a bottle of water\, but snacks will be provided. DESCRIPTION:Prompted by regular Mojo Mover Jayne James’ recent appearance on The Repair Shop\, and\, as part of the wider Frome Connects project\, this special session will have a playlist shaped by songs that remind us of people we love and miss.\nJayne appeared on the BBC1 show with her childhood teddy bear – a small companion with an extraordinary story.\nThe bear was originally given to her mum\, Betty\, a nurse at St Martin’s Hospital in Bath\, in 1960 by Hollywood songwriter Sharon Sheeley\, shortly after she survived the car crash that tragically killed her boyfriend\, rock ’n’ roll legend Eddie Cochran.\nAt the time\, Betty was pregnant\, and the bear was passed on to baby Jayne\, becoming a lifelong companion.\nJayne lost her mum last year\, and her story led us to think about how powerfully music can hold memories. Our initial idea was to create a rock ’n’ roll special featuring the music of Eddie Cochran\, but we decided instead to open it up – inviting all participants to share songs that hold personal meaning.\nYou’re very welcome to send in a song – just please do so at least one week in advance\, as we’ll be choreographing any new tracks ahead of time.\nThere will still be all the usual Mojo Moves energy\, warmth and connection – just with an added layer of meaning.\nProceeds will go to a charity of Jayne’s choice.
