Write a message to go alongside your tree telling people about your organisation/business or simply a Christmas message. \nAny kind of tree welcome… traditional\, real\, artificial\, eco\, be as creative as you like. Please let us know: \n\nYour name\nBusiness / organisation\nContact number / email\nSize of tree: small (1-2 ft)\, medium (3-4 ft)\, or large (4-6 ft)\n\nEmail your details to christchurchfuture24@gmail.com by 1st December. \nBring your tree to Christ Church between 2pm and 5pm on Saturday 6th December and decorate it. Then join us for carols around the piano and hot chocolate at 5pm as we celebrate the launch of our festival. Stewards will be on duty during the festival but Christ Church PCC cannot accept responsibility for trees or their decorations. Please collect your tree at the end of the carol service on Sunday 14th December (6pm – 7pm) or on Monday 15th December (2pm – 5pm). All proceeds from the festival are for Christ Church Future – working to energise a sacred space and create a building to serve the local community. There is no charge but donations/sponsors are welcome.

DESCRIPTION:Frome Friends of Palestine’s next event will be a screening of the film “The Phoenix of Gaza”. Directed by Yousef Al-Helou\, the film (which lasts 50 minutes) captures the beauty and resilience of Gaza’s residents before its destruction. Shot in July 2023\, it serves as an archive of Gaza’s cultural\, social\, and recreational life\, showcasing ordinary moments like children playing and families enjoying the beach. The film\, which premiered in London in February 2025\, highlights the impact of the ongoing conflict on the community in Gaza. \nThe film will be shown at 7pm. This will be preceded by a Middle Eastern themed buffet at 6:30pm. Following the screening there will be a Q&A with the director. Admission is £10\, payable on the door.

DESCRIPTION:Cheap Street and King Street are inviting residents and visitors to enjoy a relaxed and festive late-night shopping experience on Friday 19 December\, supported by Frome Town Council. \nFrom 5pm – 7pm\, King Street will be closed to traffic\, and many of the independent shops there and on Cheap Street will remain open to shoppers. Both streets will come alive with festive food and refreshments\, music and seasonal activities designed to bring a warm Christmas atmosphere to the heart of Frome.

DESCRIPTION:Whether you need an uplifting and energetic band for the Weekend\, a refined celebratory set for St. Paddy’s Day or a merry rendition of Fairytale for Christmas – THE P’HOGUES are able to entertain for any occasion\, with their authentic covers of all The Pogues’ top hits and catchiest of tunes. \n​The Pogues were a English and Irish Punk Band that played traditional and original compositions\, injected with catchy hooks and head rocking enthusiasm. The band was comprised of the legendary Shane MacGowan on Vocals\, Spider Stacy on the Whistle\, Andrew Rankin on Drums\, Terry Woods on Cittern\, Darryl Hunt on Bass\, Jem Finer on Banjo and James Fearnley on Accordion – but split up in 2014 after the death of their beloved guitarist\, Philip Chevron. \nSongs like Streams of Whiskey\, Fairytale of New York\, Whiskey in the Jar\, Fiesta\, Broad Majestic Shannon\, The Irish Rover and Pair of Brown Eyes (among many\, many more) – are perfect to celebrate life in general and evoke happy memories\, while providing an atmosphere sure to keep the crowd merry\, dancing and drinking. \n​THE P’HOGUES are based in County Somerset\, England and are happy to travel. This group of committed members are easily the premier Pogues tribute act within Somerset and hopefully beyond. We dress like The Pogues\, we sound like The Pogues and we are all fans of The Pogues! Did we mention we play music by The Pogues!!?? \n​Our main goals as a band\, is to both enable people to have a good time\, whilst enjoying the craic ourselves.
