The Sticky Wall: a Facilitation Tool for Genuine Group Participation

4th Dec 2018 @ 09:30 - 13:00

Free

This half-day day course is a practical, hands-on training to equip participants with the skills required to facilitate the Sticky Wall process.  The sticky wall is a group facilitation tool designed and developed by the Institute of Cultural Affairs. It’s a practical, low tech method for building consensus within large groups. The process is designed to be engaging, collaborative and creative. It is a simple tool that encourages genuine community participation and guides groups from the bottom-up towards a solution that the whole group owns.

Facilitator:

Neil Oliver is Chair of The Board of Directors at Edventure. He is a Certified Professional Facilitator and an Associate with the Institute of Cultural Affairs, Much of Neil’s current work is split between Edventure and providing program design and consultancy to Initiatives of Change an international truth and reconciliation foundation whose vision is “a just, peaceful and sustainable world to which everyone, responding to the call of conscience, makes their unique contribution.”

Neil’s group work training was with the Family Planning Association. Through Oliver Barclay partnership he has developed a focus on effective communication within groups. He has also worked as a consultant for SOLACE and holds an MA in Public and Social Administration.
