Midsummer Soiree – An Evening of Harp-Guitar & Song

Classical Soprano Anne Bourne and Harp-Guitarist Jon Pickard combine their creative forces to bring you a unique evening of music and song uniquely arranged for Harp Guitar and Voice. To our knowledge this has never been done with these songs anywhere before – making this a unique event!

Jon will be playing original instrumental Harp Guitar music from his new album “Metamorphia” (CDs and downloads available at https://www.jonpickard.co.uk/harp-guitar). This will be interspersed with a collection of beautiful vocal works arranged for Voice & Harp-Guitar from Bach, Britten, Puccini, Rodrigo, Handel, Dowland, Gershwin, & more.

Anne is a professional opera singer, singing teacher and sound healer. She has performed many roles in opera houses and concert venues, including English National Opera, Opera Holland Park and English Touring Opera to name a few. She has had the privilege of working with some of the top conductors, directors and vocal coaches in the country. Anne is very much at home on the operatic stage and has traveled throughout Europe, Kenya and Australia.

Jon has been a professional guitarist and pianist for over 30 years. He has played across many genres including Classical, Jazz, Rock and Pop. As well as long periods of intense self study he has studied with many world renowned guitarists and has played concerts across Britain, Germany, France, Spain and Australia. Most recently he has taken to the rare and wonderful genre of Harp Guitars and is gaining a reputation and critical acclaim as a top composer / performer in the genre.
