Frome Musical Theatre Company’s award-winning youth group Spellbound, are pleased to present BLITZ! in association with MTI (Europe) – music and lyrics by Lionel Bart.
The story centres on the relationship between a Jewish family, the Blitzteins, and a cockney family, the Lockes, in 1940s London as the city takes a pounding from Hitler’s bombs.
Mrs. Blitztein and Alfie Locke work at adjacent market stalls on Petticoat Lane and can’t stand each other. But when their children fall in love and Hitler’s bombing intensifies, will Mrs. Blitztein and Alfie be able to bury the hatchet and become friends?
