The shepherds hut is situated in a quiet corner of Alice Street Farm between a babbling brook and a 4 acre wood which has been left to nature. So if it’s a “get away from it all” break that you are looking for then this would be the perfect retreat.
Sit and listen to the sound of the birds, the hoot of the owls and watch the buzzards flying overhead. You may also be lucky enough to catch sight of the deer that come down to graze in the fields. There is a footpath that runs adjacent to the hut and we are just off the McMillan Way trail.
The hut itself has a very comfortable 4′ bed with storage under. There is a log burner to keep you warm on cooler nights. Cooking facilities are provided on a gas camping stove and there is a 12v cool box, TV . Outside there is a veranda connecting to a gypsy wagon where you will find a shower, toilet, wash basin and sink for washing up etc. Hot and cold running water is supplied.
